I know I'm late to posting in the thread, but Pandorra and I have gotten our hopes up before only to have some crazy work project dash them and we end up not being able to make it. All signs were looking good early on, but we wouldn't know for sure until the start of this week. Hooray, we can make it to the Hof! We booked a rental (our cargo van's getting on in years, and didn't want to risk it on the driveway stretch) and can't wait to get there. Pani's going to bring supplies for a trial run of "fancy shmancy s'mores" - a thing she wants to try and do on the playa this year. I've sampled a couple of the earlier tests... yum!

Schedule has gotten very tight, but I think I can make it. Sorry, no underwater squigglies this time around.

at depth, a "Hercules Spinner" is pretty quiet........as a kid, we used them there in Bowman once

there's no way around it...that road is pretty horrible. btw...if you plan on bringing eggs for breakfast, buy the kind in a milk carton already liquid eggs. piney ended up picking out egg shells from her smooshed eggs from the bouncy trip.

I'm hard boiling mine. I'm stumped for eats. I guess I'll just do what I do best. Salami and cheese on crackers with simple snacky meals.

Would a lil ol handheld propane poofer be inappropriate for this event??? It is just a tiny little thing, but it does lack a regulator.

Will bring some innocent glowies regardless.

What is this new technology the Forest Service (and/or other authority) is using to detect fires? Could a propane poof trigger such an alarm?

Maybe NORAD? :lol:

Got room for another tent? RSVPing for myself and my Virtual Burner wife :D I say virtual since she has never been but has lived it vicariously over the years thru my pictures and endless stories :D We will come up Saturday, stay overnight and leave late Sunday afternoon/evening.
