Predictions for Burningman 2017...

Multiple choice:
a. Burningman 2017 will be held one week earlier so teachers can participate
b. Burningman will expand to two weeks long
c. Burningman will host a large private party at the ranch/hot springs for high net worth donors a week before the event

After the ticket panic of 2015, many Burners realized that being part of a theme camp and getting access to DSG tickets is their best bet to get tickets without paying the much higher presale price. Many new theme camps are formed that are basically a facade to score DSG tickets. These already existed in 2015, as some smart Burners figured out this angle as soon as DSG tickets were introduced, but the number shoots through the roof in 2016. Then, in 2017, those new camps are eligible to participate in the directed group sale, causing those tix to be spread among a bigger group of camps, leaving even more 'holes' in existing theme camp populations. This all forces the BMORG to raise its criteria for theme camps, causing them to refuse DSG tickets to many camps and possibly to re-evaluate their criteria for getting placement as well.

But who knows!
