We are looking for a few daring women to help us train new performers for our popular Eros Tangere Sessions that we will be doing this year (5th Annual) at Burning Man. We want to be able to offer the experience to even more people, so I've got to train more of our crew, and practice new tracks.

What is it?: Don’t you want to try something completely new? We’re all looking for ways to have experiences that really rock our world and awaken our senses! Especially at Burning Man!
LADIES 18+ Here’s your chance to experience something I guarantee you’ve never felt before!

Once a year during Burning Man a handful of specially trained performers give an extraordinary gift to a few very lucky individuals that attend the event. Eros Tangeré is a one-on-one “tactile performance” that can only be described as a sensation experience that is created as your very body is "played" as if it were an ever-changing organic musical instrument.

Every year we perform only a handful of these sessions at Burning Man. We’ve received overwhelming 100% total positive feedback and some have said that it was the very highlight of their Burning Man experience. Wow! That’s quite high praise to be sure!

Here's how it happens at BRC:

At your reserved time, we will meet and discuss the session in more detail, and make sure that you are 100% comfortable and that you understand that you are completely safe. We’ll select the performance and music style and also the degree of sensation that you prefer. You’ll then disrobe and lay on a custom adapted massage table, face up. You are blindfolded so that your sense of sight is eliminated and your other senses can flourish. We focus on the sense of touch, sound and even smell! You’ll have headphones on and as the music plays in your head, a most magical transformation happens all over your body: The music suddenly has true feeling! Different touch sensation play about your body in concert with the music! There’s a lot more to it than that, but we don’t want to spoil the surprise. The sessions last from 30 to 60 minutes depending on how many people have signed up in advance.

It’s very difficult to describe, but let me assure you, those willing to venture into this experience, will thoroughly enjoy the process and be glad that you took the leap.

Here's what we need in Los Angeles (Van Nuys area, specifically)

Because many of the people in our circle of friends and Burners in our camp have already experienced this, they really cannot offer the TRUE feedback that we need from a person that is experiencing Eros Tangere for the very first time. We're reaching out to complete strangers in the hope that we can find a few willing participants to come on a fun, alluring journey with us.

Let's set the stage. You'll come to my shop (I run a special effects shop and production company during the day) and we'll discuss the session in more detail.

WE DO NOT CHARGE any money for this. This is a GIFT to you and in return we wish for only your [u]honest and detailed feedback[/u] of the experience after the session so that we can hone the experience and get it ready for those lucky few at Burning Man this year! There is no sex. This is NOT A THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE, it is not intended as any type of medical or therapeutical activity. It is purely for the sake of enjoyment and a unique sensory experience.

The unfortunate thing about this process is that since there's nothing else like it, it's VERY difficult to describe, but let me assure you, those willing to venture into this experience, will thoroughly enjoy the process and be glad that you took the leap.

Wow what a neat project.

I recently tried a "Float pod" like a deprivation chamber. It was so peaceful just floating in the dark (though I did turn on the LEDS to float in a chromatherapeutic environment after about 40 minutes) I think because it was my first time I wanted to play with all the knobs.
Anyways....it was a pretty intense experience. It is very true that your senses get heightened in such a state, or at least I'm my experience.

I can imagine this project is similar in outcome, that the heightened sense would be sensory stimulation in a deprivation environment (the blindfold).

Such an exercise I think would require a good deal of patience and commitment by both the giver and receiver to establish that trust.

It sounds super fascinating.

I'm waaaaay to body shy to attempt something so intimate, (lol also in Canada, so of no use to your request) but I can see the potential that would help someone become more body confident.

You mention that what you're offering is difficult to describe. You may want to keep working on that, because what you've posted sounds incredibly creepy. People get up to all kinds of stuff at Burning Man, including lots of sexual and erotic activities, so something like blindfolding a bunch of naked women so you can erotically touch them and "play them like instruments" seems like yet another option between consenting adults. The idea of looking for practice women is what seems creepy, you'd think that with 4 years of success and "100% positive feedback" and being in a major metro area there would be no shortage of willing volunteers among friends, etc. Since you're upfront about saying it's difficult to describe, I readily admit that I could be reading it all wrong. If you do come up with a better description, please post it as a reply here and ping one of the moderators, we may be able to revise the first post.

It's okay; don't feel bad, you're likely either not terribly experienced, and/or haven't had too many unusual things foisted upon you (or alternatively, have had too many weird experiences to count this as unusual). None of those things are a crime!

* Why is 18+ listed in some spots and 21+ in others? (21+is usually only necessary w/ intoxicants).
* Are chaperones welcome?
* What are participants touched with? . . . Hands, bongo drums, boiled pasta, violet wands . . . what?

I've finally had a chance to get back to this thread, and apparent troll bait that I've created. Geez guys.

Oh Internet, how I love thee.

First things first, MelonBlue: You are pretty right on with the sensory deprivation aspect. It's combination of that, and trust, and sensation that's really unique. Please don't feel naïve. The only reason that you are now feeling this way, is based on everyone ELSES's interpretation and characterization of this event. I'm not some creepy dude trolling for girls, That's definitely not my jam. I'm a happily married, soon to be dad and veteran burner that leads a camp that's been a part of brining all kinds of fun and interesting interactivity to the playa. This is one such event, and it's an amazing, sensory experience.

This particular event is something that evolved after a conversation with my wife after I was drumming my fingers on her back to the music one night (I'm a drummer, among other things). It was HER idea actually to bring this to Burning Man. It has evolved to become a multi-format one-on-one event that we have done at Burning Man for several years now. And by we, I mean, myself, my wife, and another man and woman performer. We have generally done it on men and women. This year, so far, we may not be having female performers due to a variety of un-related issues.

I want to train other performers, so I and my other performer can get a break and see the rest of the burn this year. We are working to train a few more of our camp staff. In addition, I have new music tracks that I want feedback on.

I understand the creepy factor that could be read into the original post, I'm not sure entirely sure how to get away from that. In default world this all sounds very creepy... during the burn, we have a line around the camp perimeter of people wanting to have a session, especially after one of their friends has experienced it. Maybe one of our past guests will chime in and give their honest feedback.

The fact that I produce TV and build props for a living, has nothing to do with this, but has given me the ability to really rock a custom music/sound/sensation rig that has to be experienced to be understood.

The 18+/21+ was just an oversight. That description has been around awhile and was probably appended to with our rereading it. In the years prior, we were in Silicon Village, this year, we are a part of Spanky's Wine Bar (Directly because of one of their staff experiencing this, btw) and so now we changed it to 21+ since SWB is a 21+ Bar sorta place. Its should have all read 21+

So, yeah, there ya go. It's legit, I won't say that it is not a very sensual experience, that's definitely part of the whole thing, but this is an experience that is built from a place of pure trust in a stranger, and that, my friends is a very tough thing to find in default world these days... Complicated by the fact that over-eager folks like to think that they have it all figured out and ruin it for those who might be willing to accept someones gift and very hard work. Whatever that might be.

Lastly, there are no shortage of friends that are willing, but they' have all experienced it, and one major part of the process is the pure surprise and unexpected nature of the elements in the performance. The second time around, guests are anticipating those elements, so the feedback that we get is altogether different. First timer's give us the best feedback for adjustment.

After-all, We're trying to get this fine-tuned so that we're 100% awesome when we return to the playa with this and other fun events this year.

So....why were you posting for women only? Do men only drum on women? I couldn't figure out reading your response why you only wanted women, other than my deep seated suspicion answering that question... And with a line around the block, why asking here for participants? And it sure is hard in the default world to trust someone offering you a gift of touching your body. I understand that people get away with stuff like that more easily on the playa due to a suspension of disbelief and an over-abundance of trust.

If there was an adequate explanation of the lady only thing and I was in LA I'd almost consider this. Although Id feel a lot more comfortable if I could bring a chaperone to watch.

One of my favorite experiences ever is James Turrell's Perceptual Cell. Its a big white sphere, about 8 foot in diameter I guess, you lie down inside it, listen to a sound scape and watch a light show on the ceiling. The lights flash so quickly and brightly that your brain can't quite keep up. That coupled with the weird spacial effects of a perfectly white curved surface with no reference point means that your brain just can't make sense of the signals it's getting. The first time I went in I describes it as like the light bypassing your eyes and interfacing directly with your brain. It does really to feel like you're "seeing" something that only exists in your head. It's very discombobulating.

Lazer did you happen to get to experience that when it was at LACMA in 2013? Is your thing anything like that?

It's still too much work. Booze, an air-conditioned place with a hot shower, and some reasonable amount of charm and not appearing creepy (at first) always worked for me.
