Well we aren't gonna peddle to the deep playa unless something goes horribly wrong.

You'll get in deep trouble for piddling on the deep playa.

The sand fleas will jump straight up your urethra.

Limnology is the study of inland waters - lakes (both freshwater and saline), reservoirs, rivers, streams, wetlands, and groundwater - as ecological systems interacting with their drainage basins and the atmosphere.

Still not as hot as here in California's Central Valley. In the backyard yesterday at 7:30 pm, it was still clocking 110F. Inside the shop is 90-100, all day/most of the night...

Bring on the desert, I've got this.

How about a little wind while we're at it, I wanna see beige powdered people.
Sooner or later, it will get real strange...

The long range forecast for Gerlach in late August and early September shows daily highs in the mid-90's.

This is just a forecast.......

Taking stabs at the weather this far out is futile.

Yeah it's even staying quite warm at night out there from what I've noticed the last couple of nights. I've been keeping an eye on it as we're headed ou there this weekend.

Searing heat, plus an epic drought... is it too early to start with the dustpocalypse predictions?

Is it wrong of me to hope for early entry and then epic rain after I'm set up like last year?

We are in an active strong El Nino cycle that is projected to carry into the winter.

Think Playa weather in 2009, 2002, 1997

97 was extra ugly days after BM ended and the crew was wading in mud for days.

Good chance we suck in monsoonal moisture up from the Gulf or get Hurricane remnants late August. We are in a weak monsoonal flow right now.

Keep an eye on the Pacific Hurricane patterns to glimpse into the future a bit later this month. If you hear "pineapple express", bring hip-waders.

Word is, it's a lake right now! But that might be inaccurate.

Point is, playa weather is kooky.

I apologize, I think I got some bad information. It is not a lake. It is a playa, maybe a bit wet, but a playa.

It's probably gonna rain like a motherfucker this weekend. Probably or maybe not. Nevada's a big fucking state but for the last few days we've been getting monsoonal moisture coming up from the south...
