Congrats to all who received without issue and hope everyone else takes a deep breath until the proper time to panic (which is much later after we know all orders have been fulfilled).

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Mine came in rather uneventfully along with Fireball and Survival guides. Purchased in the Individual Sale, roommate signed for package which is kind of amazing given that our door buzzer doesn't work and there's a hallway between my apartment and the front of the building. Either way having the tix is a HUGE RELIEF! Now.. just where to hide them...

Re: Tickets Shipping!
I received my Tracking email @ 8PM last night stating a shipping label was created on Monday. At 6:27AM today it was accepted at the USPS Origin Sort Facility (SF) and at the Origin Facility (SF) @ 7:42AM with an expected delivery date of Saturday.
If all goes well I'll be breaking out my gear, commencing to fill any holes and planning my trip in earnest (he doesn't mind) over the weekend.
I don't get too into it until ticket is in hand. Although BMORG may think it's endearing, the ineptitude er, spotty organization is, well spotty.
I don't recall if I got a tracking email last year but I definitely remember finding the package jammed into the mailbox without a signature solicited.
For now I'm happy that the purchase has been re-acknowledged and somewhere someone knows something is supposed to end up with me. With any luck it will be a ticket and vehicle pass....

Are veterans here really freaking out about receiving tickets? Has there ever been a case of someone not getting their tickets in the mail and the BMORG not sorting it out? You'll get your tickets, for chrissakes.

Yeah, but their solution might involve will-call. I'd rather hide in a rancid black-water tank to sneak in.vargaso wrote:Are veterans here really freaking out about receiving tickets? I think vargaso means in the past, not this years. I haven't heard of it happening, but that doesn't mean it hasn't. There were some ticket screw-ups last year though, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Re: Tickets Shipping!
I have now received my two Vehicle passes (for my vehicle and the 26' truck) which I purchased in the Presale and shipped via standard USPS. Same packaging as the tickets that came via UPS from the DGS. Good to go now!
A plan is what you vary from.
Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

Got the email yesterday at 5:00PM and found an 'envelope waiting' slip from the post office in my mailbox when I got home. Picked up the tickets today. It's getting very real.

It appears my package left the USPS in SF @ c. 5AM this morning

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Ours just arrived. I bought them as a surprise back up for my wife in case we didn't go on our planned road trip for our anniversary, but we did end up going, just last week. Sooo, have to decide whether we're heading to the burn or not. Would be the first time we'd be there together since 2009.
Re: Tickets Shipping!
This morning tracking said they were out for delivery. This afternoon waited on the porch for my mailman.
The truck made it's way around the block and I greeted it at the mailbox. A vision she was,
simple. unadorned, splendid in her natural beauty (and the mail lady wasn't half bad either).
Me: Hey, how you doing today?
Gorgeous Mail Lady: I'm well, it's Friday after all. You?
Me: Much better now that you've finally arrived.
GML: You sound like my dog. Oh good thing you're here, this one needs a signature.
Me (stifling a low growl and trying to not sound too much like a stalker): I've been tracking that, it's my Burning Man ticket
GML( No reaction..all business like as she handed me the handheld) : Sign here.
Me (handing the unit back) Thanks very much. You made my day.
GML (as she putters away) : Have a good weekend.
Me (yelling after her) You too!
So beautiful, so sought after, so hard fought for, I ripped the sucker open:
Survival Guide

Vehicle Pass

Fireball

Ticket

Woohoo! I can't wait to see all you beautiful people in the dust!!!

If you chose UPS, be watchful of your USPS mailbox. Mine was stuck in the same "label created" limbo and UPS never laid eyes on it, they gave the package to USPS and it arrived in the mailbox a week later without a signature.Eric wrote:I've got the email, but all I get for tracking is "a label was created".

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Ticketfly email received at 5:01 on Tuesday 7/7.
USPS states "Shipping label created" Tuesday until Friday morning.
Yesterday at 9:51 updated to "Accepted at USPS Sort Facility"
This morning at 8:22 "Out for Delivery"
Delivered at 4:34.
Stoked. Stressful, first year of tracking it thru the online tool. Problem is the Fireball, right? It can't be automatically fed thru the processing systems and has to be hand carried the whole way.

Mine sat in the "label created" state for about a week before finally shipping. I was pretty disappointed in the label when it got here, I mean they apparently spent a week creating it.Eric wrote:I've got the email, but all I get for tracking is "a label was created".

Re: Tickets Shipping!
I ship many things in the course of business, and think it dovetails nicely with my theory. I've accidentally given packages to the wrong carrier before, and looked into what happens; usually they'll save up a bin of wrong-carrier packages and then have the correct carrier come pick them up at some point (at which time, it's actually in the correct carrier's tracking system). I consider it a fluke that USPS decided to deliver a UPS express parcel all the way.vargaso wrote:Mine sat in the "label created" state for about a week before finally shipping. Is it possible that UPS is actually SurePost, in which they hand off the package to USPS?maladroit wrote: I consider it a fluke that USPS decided to deliver a UPS express parcel all the way.
"UPS SurePost® is an economy, residential, ground service
This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service."
I know that some of my lightweight Amazon Prime stuff comes this way, and even though it's advertised as "ground", the packages usually arrive within Amazon's two day time frame.
Re: Tickets Shipping!
Nope, it was a straight up UPS 2nd Day Air. I ordered them the same way last year and they were delivered by a brownshirt. Tracking created on the 29th of June still shows no activity.
