Greetings from Corpus Christi Texas

Post by Flint » Fri Feb 20, 2015 7:47 am

Hi all! So excited to be here and start this adventure! My name is Flint, heading to BM with my daughter and soon to be daughter. This is the first time our feet will touch the playa, but we all believe our spirit has been lurking for years! Can't wait to feel the dessert sun and meet some awesome folks! :D

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome Flint. Have some fun here with us. We'll hug you in the dust later. I'm a bit confused about who you are traveling with. 'Your soon to be daughter'. Is that your pregnant wife? Is that a youngster you are adopting? Is that your teenage son in drag? (Oops. That slipped out.) Anyway we welcome you and yours.

I love the sound of "welcome home!" :D Ratty! OK...my daughter and her best friend, whom I suspect will become my daughter just because of our experience on the playa! Although I would have been completely fine with all of the options...as of right now my grand child is a cat!! Daughter (s) are 26, I'll be 53 in March!

Wow, how things can change! Ratty I think you jinxed me! And I couldn't be happier! My daughter is pregnant! I'm going to be a grandmother!! I'll be traveling to BRC with my sister instead - so I'm a winner all the way around!!!

My daughter still wanted to go, but didn't think it fair to make her aunt wait until the week of to decide if she was up to it or not...so here we come BRC!!

Thanks for the jinx, Ratty! Can I get you to buy me some lottery tickets?

Flint :) 8)

Hey, welcome home!

Pleeeease make sure you do your research and read the survival guide. You'll thank the fine folks who put that out later. Are you travelling with anyone who has been to BRC before? Don't be afraid to reach out and ask questions.

Please stop by the Wanderers camp (somewhere near 3:00 & F) for Toxic Tonic (gin & tonic) and hot dogs every day about 4:00 PM. Come eat, grab a handful of shade and kick back.

Wigwam - All in my party are new to the playa, but not to planning! I've been researching and gathering my thoughts. Pretty excited! I made a playa shower yesterday based off some of the awesome posts! I'll post picks soon! I feel good about our logistics and am looking forward to a cool gin tonic on the playa!

Welcome
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
