Tickets Shipping!
Re: Tickets Shipping!
As of July 13, I still haven't received an email from ticketfly. I purchased in the individual sale.
Is anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Lots of people. The post above yours shows that Pink just got her email the day before you posted, I only got mine last week. There are 70,000ish tickets to be mailed, all stuffed by hand - last year we didn't get the "all clear" from Ticketing until late July/ early August. The only time to start worrying is if the All Clear goes out and you haven't received your email yet, until then this is all just an introduction to Playa Time.turgutbey wrote:As of July 13, I still haven't received an email from ticketfly. For people getting the emails, that does not mean your tickets are in the hands of the post office (or UPS), apparently that just means your order is being processed by TicketFly (this is not official information, just deduction based on my experience and what other people have been posting). It took four days from when my email arrived for the tracking status to change from "label generated" to "order received by USPS". I got my email last Tues, tickets showed up today.

It's so strange...you could eat an entire five pound bag of Atomic Fireballs, and not a single one would taste as good as one from San Francisco.

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Quite a few of our international folk are having their orders sent to the Husfreind's office, myself included because when we bought tickets he was still going to be American Boyfriend for a good while longer and I wasn't going to be in the US right now.
Two campmates got their "Your Burning Man order is about to ship" emails from [email protected] on July 3rd. Both packages were marked "out for delivery" on July 6th but didn't get delivered. Both campmates then got an email from [email protected] on July 8th saying "Your Burning Man order xxxxxxxxxxxx has been shipped" Then later on July 8th as we were on our way to the airport they were delivered to his office. They were kept safe over the weekend and Husfriend picked them up today.
Once in Indiana we got word that the camp mate who ordered tickets for himself and the Husfriend had gotten his email and was expecting delivery on Saturday, the day we'd be a the Husfriend's brother's house really close to where said camp mates lives. It all worked out and we got to eat lunch and catch up with Neil and grab Chris's ticket.
So right now I have five tickets and two vehicle passes in my hot little hands and NONE OF THEM ARE FOR ME!

Lots of my friends in Calgary have received their tracking email. I have not yet, but I'm sure it'll show up in the next few days. Looks like everything is on schedule.

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Don't worry too much. The USPS tracking said they were supposed to have left a note at my door on Monday because I didn't answer the knock. By the time they did leave the pink slip (the next day), I had already gone to the post office to sign for and pick them up. Yay! Until tracking says they are in your local post office's hands, don't worry.ziff7373 wrote:should i be concerned here?? last tracking shows left SF on Saturday July 11th. Mine left SF on 7/9 and didn't get to LA till 7/11... I would imagine it's going to take a bit longer to get to places further away.apavlin wrote:Don't worry too much. Re: Tickets Shipping!
Update. Tickets left SF 7/11, just made it to Houston area today 7/16.
What threw me off was the estimated delivery of 7/13.

Yippie! I just got my notification as well! And it looks like I will have a ticket to go into the Barbie Death Village ticket exchange program since Jackie can't make it to TTITD this year. (Jackie, for the uninformed, is my 21 year old daughter.) Yippie-ky-yeah mother...

Re: Tickets Shipping!
Had a slightly frightening experience today. I'd set up text alerts with USPS so I'd know when the tickets were en route. Delivery was estimated for tomorrow (Saturday) and I figured that was perfect if there was a signature required.
This afternoon, I get the text from USPS saying that they had been delivered. I forego post-work plans and rush home to get them safely in my hands. When I get home, there's the package in front of my door (along with a pile of some other orders I'm making in preparation). However, the envelope had been ripped open not-so-subtly. As soon as I noticed this, I dropped everything else in panic and pulled it open further, assuming the worst. Upon further inspection: 1 survival guide (intact); 1 survival guide (mangled, torn, and adhered to the envelope with glue; 1 atomic fireball (intact) and, amazingly; two glorious tickets (intact!)
I'd love to know where along the way the envelope was ripped open. Post office? Neighbor looking for a vehicle pass and not interested in the tickets? It didn't travel far (I'm in SF) and they're all hand-sorted, so that rules out machine shreddage. Absolutely mind-boggling, but a happy ending.
Onward.
