Hi everyone, I’m just gonna stick my big toe in here and say hello. Hello!

It’s been a big year for me: I turned another year older (crazy right!), I finally decided that Florida (where I’ve been a displaced westerner for the last 5 years) isn’t that bad, I’m finishing my phd in August, and I just happen to have 2 weeks of completely unobligated time (!) that happens to coincide with BM.

I’d be coming solo, with just the pack on my back and whatever I can carry (er… or likely drag) across the desert. I’ve traveled a lot on my own, to some of the biggest, craziest, and dirtiest cities in the world, but I’m totally looking forward to being absorbed into BRC (a sure competitor for the craziest and dirtiest, at the least). I have a ridiculous amount of camping gear, and I’ve survived on my own in some pretty harsh places, so I’m not too worried about not having a Camp. BUT it would also be really cool to meet some awesome people that want 1 extra smiling face around their camp to help out.

So looking forward to meeting you all! Oh, and some yet to be met hashers on the playa (on-on)!

I recommend lamplighting! Come by our lounge (look for the HUGE black tent workspace at about 5:45 at center camp, next to the Tango'd Up in Blues dome) around 4 or 4:30. You can join the party and then light the city with us - it is a magical experience!
