I think the whisky will be much safer in my camp, and Yggy just needs the sun tea. Just remember that you need health department clearance for the lemon wedges in the tea.

I made the brisket this weekend. There will be plentiful good Jewish brisket and potatoes for dinner.

Well if that's how we're going to play, perhaps I'll just keep the whiskey at my camp and let you two fight over who's bringing the sun tea!

If it is medicinal whiskey, it should probably come to M*A*S*H 4207th.

For medical reasons.

Totally on the opposite side of the city from me but I could probably be convinced to make the trek over there. For medical reasons, of course.

The whiskey is for the snakebite from the small snake.

I think what he meant was, there will be no real whiskey left to drink if we are here.

My first drink of whiskey was poured into a can of off-brand rootbeer while no one was looking. Whiskey and I were the same age (12 years) so that made sense to me. I take it straight now and don't care who sees me.

Please bring whiskey to the M&G. 8)

Last year I brought honey flavored Jack and forgot to try it.

I usually bring Honey Jack to the M&G, but last year iirc it was Cabin Fever Maple Whiskey. Much as I love maple, the honey jack tastes better.

You also have the choices of Jim Beam Honey and American Honey (Evan Williams brand). Honey whiskey is pretty good....and it makes a great addition to marinades and bastes if you're interested in cooking with it.

Well it looks like I will be arriving on playa on Wednesday afternoon. The first order of business is to set up my shade, and if I get that done early enough, I will try to swing by the meet and greet and say hello. I have only made one M&G and it was a few years back. It was the highlight of my burn so I hope I can at least be there for a bit to get some hugs. Will pack a bottle of honey brandy or honey jack for the occasion.

I will definitely have the meet and greet on my to do list when I am there, but will not make any guarantees on what I do until I am out there on my first burn. Will have to go with the flow.

With that said, I will try and keep my grape pyment keg for the meet and greet for y'all winos. It is a mead made with welch's grape juice, clover honey and a dash of fireweed honey, champagne yeast, backsweetened with juice and honey, and carbonated. My previous versions turned out really good, but it wasn't carbonated. My homebrew store frequently makes wine batches and carbonates them and it comes out really good. This will also be based off whether my beer cart idea works as planned. Need to get it set up soon and test it out, but need to switch out the sprocket for something smaller on my cruiser first.

It started out as a joke, but I've been making a carbonated welch's wine for our regionals that's surprisingly good. I haven't tried backsweetening it though, but the 71B yeast leaves some of the sweetness in it.

Mine is this one. Joe's Quick Grape Pyment.

http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=57190

Joe Mattioli is like the figjam of meadmakers. He makes something complicated way easy. Joe's ancient orange mead can be made from ingredients at any grocery store and uses bread yeast.

My batch of pyment didn't go as dry as last time, but the fireweed honey and some extra depth which should work out pretty well. I will try and keg it soon, but I still need to empty out my current kegs.
