My tickets delivered to the wrong hands

Post by btcs05 » Thu Jul 16, 2015 8:48 pm

The first notification with a specific day for delivery of my tickets was Tuesday, July 14 which I took off from work to be able to receive my mail. On Monday, July 13th, while at work, I tracked my mail and it showed that the mail was delivered a day early and was signed for. The confirmation only showed the initials, I did not think at the time who could have signed for them as my only neighbors in the house were out of town at that time. When I got home I did not have my mail in the mailbox which is not locked and can be accessed from the outside. As it was 7 pm EST I called USPS and filed a claim as I did not ask, nor authorize anyone to receive and sign for my mail. Nobody was home between 9 am and 7 pm. I did not know the mail was coming on Monday instead of Tuesday because I did not check tracking until they were already delivered. I did not tell anybody about my tickets being delivered.
I went to the post office the next morning to speak to the carrier. According to my USPS mail carrier: he wanted to leave notification for the mail to be picked up at the post office but there was a person -who told the mailman he was my neighbor, offered to sign for my mail (first class-signature required) on the street in front of my 2-story family house, the mailman let him sign for it than place it in my mailbox. The mail carrier's story just does not make any sense. The electronic signature of the person who signed is unreadable of course. I was told there is an investigation by the USPS. I have not heard from them. Will I?
I am concerned that my tickets now in wrong hands and they could be or already resold.
I sent an email to Burning Man Ticket Support right after I came back from the post office on Tuesday morning and asked them if it's possible to invalidate my tickets. I am waiting anxiously for their reply. I also emailed Ticketfly.
Can these tickets and the vehicle pass be cancelled? Does not "signature required" mean I have to sign for the mail? Or I have to authorize someone else? And most importantly is there a chance I get my tickets replaced?

The only advice we can give is to contact [email protected] and [email protected]
No other advise is going to be valid - no one on here works at BMan HQ, none of us have any control over ticketing. It's going to be hard as hell for you until they respond, and we're aware of that, but they really are the ones you need to talk to.

General answer: any tickets can be canceled, but beyond that you really need to wait for Ticketing to respond.

I'm locking this as it's been answered. The original poster is free to contact me if they have questions, but we cannot resolve their issue sadly.
