Yggy, I feel your pain. Completely underwater at work and all I really want to do is go home and work on last minute costuming projects. Just ordered more EL wire and LEDs....

I'm starting to feel a sort of mad panic as well. Other stuff keeps coming up and my schedule gets pulled in 16 different ways, and then a week's gone by and 'holy shit I still have to do that!' Mind you, I'm getting lots of other stuff done, and I'll probably make it, but yeah... I sure wish I was further along than I am. Time to get 'er done!

Hello, Bar. Third cup of coffee. Ready for number four.
Florida came to town. Hot, sticky, wet. So, I decided to finish the backpack. Copied the Arduino sketch from my recently completed scooter.
Multi-mode with a button on the side (probably should avoid the airport and major cities). USB battery powered this time. The Arduino Nano comes today. That way I can sew it in permanently.
Moar coffee!!

but my favorite food for this kind of weather
(sort of nyc sticky but I know I am in S.F.)
is turning out to be bacon and Jviva with an extra shot
and vitamins to cover the diet spaces

I'm right there with you in edge of panic mode. I get one thing marked off the list and add two more...I'm a lot more relaxed this year about all the details but need to get my butt in gear to get things done.

Greetings, all.

It's been an interesting weekend, and now for the week.

Saturday was prime. I was cleaning house, and I realized I needed to get out and about. Where to go? Where to go? Ah. I had been promising it to myself for over a month....Billiard's Pub. It's a fun Columbia dive....by that I mean it has handpressed burgers and homemade fries.I sat at the bar and ate while the Cards trounced on the Mets 12-2 (the Cards lost after 18 innings to the Mets 3-1 on Sunday). Sunday - SHOPPING!!!! FINALLY I got enough rechargeable more "D" batteries to last the week in BRC, and bought two bar chairs for $150. I'm debating today whether or not to go back and get two more and the bar tonight. Sweet trip.

My experience here, ygmir, was some rain, nothing that even covered the pavement. It cooled the day down, and made things smell fresh. Not like the dramatic cloudbursts and thunder we had a couple weeks ago. The clouds here are amazing to watch. Yesterday it wasn't the big thunderheads that grow and darken, more of an all dark sky, so it makes sense that it was really dumping elsewhere.

My high school friend who insisted I had kept her banjo all these years is passing through town today (to be certain I don't have it?) and we are going to go see a baseball game. She and her husband are driving cross-country from Nebraska and have been stopping for baseball games as they go. Seems like a fun trip. They asked to crash here for the night, so, not having a guest room, or any real furniture actually, I'll get out some cots and sleeping pads, and do my best. (see, having more than one of all things camping can come in handy) That they requested a place to crash in a sleeping bag indicates to me they will likely be amenable to my accommodations.
