I "need a drink". Spent the last hour signing up for my Gate, Perimeter & Exodus shifts.
This year I am replacing some of my Perimeter patrolling with working in the Will Call parking lot. They are trying to get a handle on the massive parking mess there. So I think I will be a parking "usher".

About that drink I "need". The shift board opened at Noon. The e-mail announcing it arrived a bit earlier. I glanced at the e-mail, saw "...go to (link) and sign up..." ... so I clicked on the link and logged in and... found nothing. This was about 11:45. So I read the rest of the e-mail and found instructions to the effect that if the shift board did not appear, I would need to clear my browser cache. So I stumbled all over myself and eventually managed to clear everything. (That was the subject of my cancelled post -- how to do this.) Now nothing works without signing in again.

All for nothing. It wasn't Noon yet! I had not read the whole Subject line at the top of the e-mail -- where the Noon opening time was. Grrrrrrr.... Haste makes waste, and all that.

But it ended well. I did get the shifts I wanted.

Incoherent letting-off-steam rant over.

Elliot, so glad you got the shifts you wanted! I know how it is when you have more than one job, and you are in the Big Time now with your camp

so can't be running around at random hours! I was very happy to get exactly what I wanted for ESD, hitting a perfect round-robin of all four new Med Stations this year, yay! So I can't complain about getting left-overs at Ice. Those 3 hour shift at the cash register are no hardship anyway.

Starting to panic about my prep.

And keep coming up with new sewing projects. oh dear...

I blame Ratty.
