I'm not the organizer, and thus haven't seen the details, but I think we are typically 200' wide x 100' deep. Those evap ponds take up a fair bit of space.Jovankat wrote:How much space do you eacc have?

Ignited States Ski Patrol at 4:45 and C this year. Plenty of fun planned, especially our annual Happy Birthday To You party on Saturday at 4:00. You're invited if you're having a birthday in 2015.
Re: 4:30 Neighborhood Camps
HARDLY will be back in the same spot on the corner of 4:30 an A.
Re: 4:30 Neighborhood Camps
Scrabble Camp will be back at 4:30 and J again this year.
I am hoping we get the corner with the street sign. I have some street sign security plans that might be a bit much if they are in someone else's camp!
We will be dishing out Tacos on Tuesday at Two like we did last year!

Re: 4:30 Neighborhood Camps
Oh man, it's shaping up to be a killer neighborhood and I am really, really sad to miss it this year.
But! There is good news my fellow denizens of neighborhood four dirty, even though I am taking the year off my stupendous camp is not!
And seeing as I am the only person affiliated with that camp who knows how to use the internet, I am pleased to announce that at the fabulous intersection of 4:30 and A, right across the street from the BRCPC's FREE payphone and with the best view of HARDLY's backside in the entire city, will be Plunderground!
Notable attractions include:
Flaming Tetherball! Every night! And yes, it really is on fire. And yes, it is dangerous.
The playa-famous Museum of Cultural Appropriation and Dead Things will be returning to Plunderground and expanding to three times it's size from last year! Come marvel at our marvelous collection of sacred objects profaned, delight in our delightful menagerie of unfortunate creatures and wonder in the wonderful participatory cacophony of our auditory artifacts!
Stop by the Plunderground Underlounge and risk a spin on Satan's Gyration Station for the chance to win free (FREE!) booze!*
...And more!!

Ratty, I would love to try to find you. Last year I wrapped a towel around my bike seat, tied it with Nylon cord. I parked it at the Tiki Bar, and when I came out someone had apparently cut the nylon cord and took my towel. What they want with a towel I had sat on all day, I don't know.
It was all for nothing as my whole bike was stolen at the Alien Siege Machine burn later. (only time it wasn't locked).
Anyway, would love to get a custom fur seat cover. Hope to see you there.

Depends on whether we're talking American, Canadian, or Australian, doesn't it? <grin> It's actually just over a third of an American football field.Roy333 wrote:That's a half a football field
It's also a lot of water to get rid of - we typically evaporate around a thousand gallons over the course of the week. One of the biggest mistakes people make with evap ponds is making them too small - the deeper the water, the less well they work.

Flaming tetherball? Do you need asbestos gloves to play it? Do you like wood-fired pizza? Pedal Pies, a camp with a mobile (bicycle-towed) pizza oven, is sister-camped with IAMU within Home Rule Village. Swing by and say Hi, and maybe we'll tell you where on playa our pizza oven is going to be fired up! (Hint, we'll be offering hot pizza to hungry ravers at <insert famous DJ name here> set on Thursday night at the trash fence.Bless wrote:I'm hearing It's All Made Up (IAMU) will be around 4:45 and D this year--same place as last year.

What great neighbors this year! I'm so glad to be camped next to Home Rule Village and Vines without Borders. I had so much fun serving Naked Espresso for days on days. I'm so happy you visited! If you just rode past Buddha Camp and didn't stop in then as they say, "next year was better!"
And if our great lounge, delicious espresso, and talented baristas didn't bring you inside this year then....

Oh no! I added the propane myself!EspressoDude wrote:lucky find for the playa: propane heated machine!
It helps that my machine can function perfectly fine with absolutely no electrical power inside the machine... No pumps, just mechanical advantage, steam power, and springs. Yeeeeeha! I guess it has a pump for the plumbed water line.
