eager to contribute - need a camp

Post by atlantis » Thu Jul 30, 2015 3:57 pm

Greetings,
Miraculously, I obtained a ticket today. But my whole crew, who did not get tickets back in Spring time, are not coming out this year. I am not eager to go it alone and would love to join a theme camp. I am eager to contribute time and energy and whatever skills I possess ... which include (ahem): bartending, cooking, being responsible and on top of shit, aerial fabric, poi, and lending a hand where needed. This will be my fourth burn.
I am seeking a camp that is medium to high organization, with communal kitchen and shower area, and ideally shade structure for tents.
I have a small shade structure and outdoor shower. Am happy to pay camp dues and help with whatever I can administratively/organizationally now.
Let me know if I could be a good match for your camp!

I strongly suggest that you also look at the camps in this sub-forum and on the registry on the main burning man site, and contact camps that seem like they'd be a good fit. Give them a nice rundown of what you can do, and be polite, and understand that things are crazy busy now. Don't get hung up on any one camp, also if you're not finding one, be willing to do the "Hey boys and girls, let's put on a camp" post on this or other sites because a lot of people are looking as last minute plans change and camps are nailing down details, not opening up to new energy. (IN a general way. Lots of specific variations...)
