If I have to leave, I go to Peter & Jerri in Davis. And I do have all my interweb passwords with me.

Silly thing is... I need to go to Sacramento tonight to pick up a friend at the airport. Of course, she may not have a house to come home to, since she lives just three blocks from me.

Meanwhile, I'm just watching for hot embers with the garden hose in my hand. No worries.

It is simply what happens to be happening today. No worries -- just actions to be taken as needed. Currently there is no ash or such blowing this way, but I'm spending most of my time watching the weeds next door anyway.

Kind'a a hurricane party across the street -- like I joked about earlier.

My next plan is to challenge campmate "Little Heaven" to the Dome. One more life fulfilling fantasy coming true due to the playa.

Surprise ! I'm back in Clearlake!
I drove Millicent to Davis and "traded" it for a car. Went to the airport and picked up my friend and neighbor Karlon. We figured out on the interweb that the evacuation was not mandatory, so we returned here. Now... Karlon cannot get into her house (three blocks from mine) because her daughter left town with the key. So now Karlon and I are having that hurricane party at my house. So to speak. She's kind'a bushed from working in Salt Lake City all week.

Coming back just now, there was not even a glow of fire in the sky. Except... for one big flame that rose briefly. And I see that some other neighbors are home.

A weird day.

Karlon needs to return to SLC Sunday evening, so maybe I can bring Millicent home again then. Unless the fire picks up again.

Life is weird.
