Hello my ePlaya friends
Well I just wanted to tell you that you guys are now officially a real part of my life. Not just my online life, but my actual life. How is that possible you ask? Well I'm so glad you want to know...take a seat...i'll elucidate.
Now when i am walking through the world and i wonder things, as one often will, i will think to myself, now i wonder what geekster would say about this, or i bet cowboyangel would think that was so stupid, or guiniveirelise would love that...you have become real people in my life. i count you among my friends.
and that, my good people, is an amazing thing.
thank you for sharing your ideas, your insights, your laughter and your tears with me, and with everyone who reads these threads and never says anything, but feels better inside because of something you were daring and caring enough to share.
thank you for putting it out there. thank you for caring.
but most of all, just thank you so much for being your lovely burner selves.
you guys and gals are the best.
ever.
mwah!

Great post.....I have been trippin around thinking the same thing. I tried to pass it off as conscionce (poor spellin), the little voices in my head, ...but alas..It is YOU folks who promote the thoughts, hell, the arguements I have with myself inside my head! Thanks, sometimes its hard to see the other POV!
Love and Laugh With Me!!!
When I got to work this morning, I felt
for several work-related reasons (not to mention the state of world at large). When I fired-up eplaya, I really laughed several times. Then, I saw the pictures I printed off thinkcooper of the squirrels with guns and the chipmonk "killer" gnawing on the human skull and I felt all better. The chipmonk hits bowl was particularly satisfying! The Janis Joplin "remake" on the quote thread was pretty good too as was samtze "sleeping like a baby"
Wish I could go in real-time to the Portland decom. I dreamed of it last night and met some great people. Anyway, I'm glad for the site, the people, and all the originality!!!!!
All better now

well i'm glad i'm not alone in my particular brand of insanity!
guess it's just nice to give the little voices in my head names...heh.
but seriously, its funny how i can hear stuff and "get" it differently here with ya'll people...and you inspire me to not just think about things in a different way, which is great, but to also feel both totally involved in and completely removed from these sometime hot topics...kind of like some sort of online enlightenment or something...no expectation, no preconception, no attachment to the outcome...isn't that what they say in all them books and stuff? well its workin for me people.
besides, you fucking crack me up!

regynalonglank you put into words what was in my head last night as I was awake at 3 a.m. I miss people from these pages when I am not online. And, oddly, like a pianist practicing scales, I think that my default world interactions with friends are taking on a deeper dimension for me thanks to the stuff that goes on in here. Stop by The Bar for a drink sometime, will you?

It is strange, yet at the same time, it makes perfect sense. This is a collection point, almost a gravity well, for people who like to play with concepts of all kinds; whether it is Art, Music, Writing, Acting, Building, Physics, Computers, anything. We are all curious and creative, and we love to share our time with people just like us (duh!)
I have had my mind, my psyche, and my deepest emotions, stretched on the ePlaya. Hmmmmm.... I am addicted.
I really do love you guys for what you have done for me... and to me. I'm a part of this... amazing... I usually feel like the ultimate outsider wherever I go... but not here....
This has got me thinking.... which is good.
Thanks Guys...
Sam

oh well, too bad for you! it was pretty fun...not too much fun, but a lot of fun. not really good clean fun, but not exactly down and dirty fun either. there were people there, but not too many people. there was stuff to see and do, but overall it was kindofnotasgoodasithoughtitwouldbe but it was still good. the band i have been singing backups for played, and we kinda sucked ass, our guitar player got stuck in san jose, it was like a bad rock ballad really, and then our hour long set became two and a half hours because the second band's van broke down...you get the idea. but i met some cool peeps and got a little shot of the playa love...a very little shot...but i'm not much of a techno head, and i wasn't on enough of something to really make it to where everyone else seemed to be...but then again, it's all good. somebody's gotta be the designated thinker! but i missed you guys...it would be fun to actually see some of the e-folk in person one of these fine days. i know, let's all meet in the desert near Reno next year, say around the end of August or something...whaddaya say?

Thanx for bringing this one back to the top, tonytohono. I missed it the first time around. Good thread, regynalonglank. Yeah, let's rub elbows out in Nevada some time, eh? We could all get together in one camp and call it...say, a Meetn'Greet?
