Sigh. We lose friends, and yeah, we know it's "the way of the world", and yet, it does leave a hole in the heart.
Bin did truly love TTITD, and ePlaya. His making it to the Hof party, was nothing short of heroic, in his, and his nephew "Abdullah" effort. Though he said he had always wanted to make it to one of the parties, and well, he knew this was his "last chance", really, he did it for us all. The opportunity, to have that last conversation, see him smile one more time, have a hug, and receive his blessing for the future (he did not leave saying "seeya later", for he knew we would not), he left, wishing us all the best.

Definitely in scramble mode here. Some projects and ideas that I had in mind have faltered and are begrudgingly being set aside this year in favor of others. Meanwhile, my camp infrastructure seems to still be reliable, solid and nearly set to go.

Whew, I sure admire Meat Hunter right about now, who if I'm not mistaken, is already packed and twiddling his thumbs waiting to take the big left turn and cruise on out to the desert. How nice is that!? Haha!

Ah well, better get back to it..

oh, the day dreams at work are not finishing the designs they already started. They are making up new ones. Today, I was thinking of a gravity feed figjam sort of cooler. with a two liter bottle on top and bottom dripping through a box with the fan and the mesh/sponge... just turn it over like an hour glass, you'd only need to power the fan, and just refill a bottle from time to time. thinking of pinch clamps to control the flow, and even was dreaming about the small pet water bottles with the little metal ball serving as a valve. Too much, and too late, new dreamins. I must work on the ones already in progress in the real world. but still...

Look like happy hippies to me.

Some of you may remember the Hot Italian Doctor from 2012. We have stayed in touch and were at her place today celebrating her birthday. She now has a beautiful 8 month old daughter, Serafina. She sends her love to all.

We leave on the Wednesday the 26th and arrive on Playa on the 27th. We will be setting up camp at 5:10 on E. Tomorrow I start making up daily menus so I will know what food we'll need. Mostly have everything else ready to go complete with an appropriate amount of playa dust from last year already on everything.
