Hey Bill, just a wow dammit, something I did not expect happened. A young man at work has been giving me a serious stink eye, won't smile or say hi back, for 6 months. I don't know why, and I get nervous whenever I see him approaching. Anyway, he was in the parking lot after work the other night, and was driving what was obviously a newly purchased car. I was feeling good, and without really thinking, asked, "Hey, did you get a new car?" He told me the story of yes, and offered me helpful tips on where to shop for the best deal on a trade-in, and commiserated about getting back into car payments, after driving years without them. He now smiles and says how are you when I see him inside.

DAMMIT BILL!!!!
Since July, I have been writing weekly letters to my property management about the fact that I do not have a garbage bin with my address on it. They said "in the mean time" I could just put my trash in my neighbor's cans.... riiiiiiight. Everyone else has two bins with their apt. numbers on them, trash and recycle. I've been timing the garbage pickup, and getting my trash in right before pickup in whichever apt. neighbor's can is lowest, being careful not to piss anyone off, but it sucks feeling sneaky. We all pay the same trash fee. I have had a recycle bin all along for my non-trash recyclables, and I've been very good at sorting so as to have the least amount of trash. This morning, my recycle bin was gone as well. BILL?

Now I am going to stop paying my trash fee, and go down to the office once a week, and write a maintenance request every week also. I'm not sure what else to do.

It's a sad day in Abilene TX. Our military surplus store went up in flames yesterday
morning. It was one of my favorite haunts for burney stuff (no pun intended)
It might have been partially saved until all of the spray paint cans started blowing
up. Pretty spectacular fire...
