Bugged Out By Wednesday
Bugged Out By Wednesday
With 40% virgins every year, what are the odds of a 40% population drop by Wednesday from people going buggy about bugs?

Re: Bugged Out By Wednesday
Is there any chance these buggers will disappear? When did they arrive? Were they there in July. Have they increased since the first of August? Oh, oh, last night I cut huge squares of tule to go over a wide brimmed hat. I guess I'll just tie a ribbon around my neck to keep it in place. Instant beekeepers hat.

One can dream.
2008 we had people leaving Hushville on Wednesday after the massive white-outs.

Hmmmm. I'm thinking dried stink bugs preserved in resin for 2016 gifts.

AntiM, 2008 was my first year. I was riding around in circles with a huge parasol, (untill I had to lower it), and an even bigger smile. The wind was spectacular! Thankfully someone had helped me set up my carport. Otherwise I may not have gotten it secure enough to withstand the gale.

Straight from Exodus -
And the Lord said to the BLM "send upon them the 8th plague, of insects, which swarm over the land, stink and devour everything"
But the burners were not turned from their path. Instead the insects were driven back by a wall of sound from the rave camps.
Then the Lord said to the BLM "send 3 days of dark and storm so fierce that no one can move"
But the burners laughed, walked around with garbage bags over their feet and made love in the mud like Woodstock
Finally the Lord said to the BLM, "tell the veterans to mark their tents and RV's with bacon"
That night a terrible loss of optimism that they might find an Alice and Wonderland land of no rules, no laws, plentiful, drones, the Dancetronauts and endless raving descended upon the virgins. Then the virgins decided they had experienced too many plagues and left.
From thence on, the veterans were freed from the heavy yoke of ticket and vehicle pass shortages, the waves of traffic parted through the great sea of route 447, and the veterans lived happily ever after, amen.
Or something like that.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

From the article:Elderberry wrote:Looks like they found out what the bugs are.
“Desert species are prone to boom/bust cycles,” Wild explained. And then he offered a ray of hope for Burners heading to the desert in a couple of weeks: “[They] may just be passing through.”

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

As always, it's best to armor any body parts that could have holes bored into them by ravenous, swarming insects that fly as fast as poison darts. Nothing new to see here.
Ain't it a groove?
