What is a reasonable price plus fees for a ticket?
What is a reasonable price plus fees for a ticket?
The policy is to not sell a ticket above face value, as to avoid scalping. However, let's face it: there are more costs involved than just the face value: website fee, taxes, shipping, and the delivery or shipping by a seller to a buyer. Compensating for those expenses with an extra $40 or so would not be scalping, it would just be breaking even. Otherwise you are talking a loss. I hear alot of people selling for "face + fees". So what kind of fee (or total cost) is a seller allowed to charge, and not get in trouble? Thanks.

$420 is actually what the receipt says the value of the ticket is, somehow.

The actual ticket price is $390, the fees bring it up to 420.
And because I had to poke around on the site to find this information--no snark for you. It really wasn't obvious. (Come on, event organizers, don't have such a confusing website...)
