Fuck , buddy at work got told today he has 4-6 mths to live. Just after I got back from BM he says he hasnt been feeling well. So he was off a few and when he returns his lower body is swollen and his face is white and sunk in .
It hit him hard and fast , he is only 61 and a Navy vet .

Another Fuck , the press brake operator is about 46 or so , he's a alcoholic and his belly got real big . He goes in and they find 2 spots on his liver , he has no insurance so he is going to do nothing . He can only get enough energy to work a half day. So Im teaching a kid to take the place of the punch operator and I do the press brake work when the other one is tired and goes home.

I've been watching my ass lately here in beautiful Columbia, Missouri, the new home of racial tension and the University war zone. No sooner does the head football coach who (we hope) got some of the tensions defused and the University System President and the local Chancellor resign by supporting his football team players who refused to play until the current leadership resigned, than he has to announce his own retirement due to lymphoma (cancer).
The last two weekends, I've left the house just once. I commute to work each day, and get groceries on the far north side of town to avoid the strife. There have been threats of violence to blacks AND whites on the University campus (which could easily spill out into downtown) and I want to be nowhere near any of it if it occurs.
Tatonka, I'm proud of the humanity you showed, too. Last night, I went out with my 87 y.o. ex-Navy buddy (Vietnam and Korea war vet) to our local Country kitchen. He's on oxygen after pneumonia last week (already has COPD). This year, he got taken on his Honor Flight to Washington, DC. I am so proud of him.
Goathead, you and Ygmir both know, if you need me, I can get out there in a couple of days, maybe even faster in a dire emergency. I love you guys like brothers.
