Eplaya is not Burningman!

Post by lizwiz » Mon Nov 29, 2004 11:01 am

Hi y'all!
I am a 4 year burner who is looking for an online community that contains individuals with the burner way of living. You know, or maybe you don't, those that have the desire to grow and fulfill your potential, to be the best you, you can be, to test your limits, to give, to be there for one another, to help each other grow, to be 100% positive and healthy, to be completely tolerant and encouraging, and to help create a more perfect world.

I have been on camp and village lists before that are similar to what I am looking for, but are too high traffic to manage. I like the message board format.

I am also looking for leads of good websites that help you become more aware and enlightened, drugfree. I have been reading a lot of Alan Watts recently. He is exellent. (and no, I am not promoting him for commerce, I am sharing his name because I grew from reading about him and think others might as well)

The negative responses that this post will receive are just proof that eplayans aren't burners in the philosophical sense of the word.

If there are negative posts, I will not waste my energy on them. I don't need to justify what I say to someone who is not open minded because it doesn't matter what i say, your filters are too strong. If there are positive posts, I will be happy to respond to either the post or in PM.

Happy Burningman!!

Smiles,
Liz

Priceless.

Thanks for giving definition to the idea of 'burnier than thou.'

Might I suggest that you have filters of your own in place?

You won't respond to anything but positive replies? Isn't this a bit like <sticking fingers in ears> LALALALALA...I can't HEAR you.

Please if you find any websites that teach enlightenment let me know because this searching inside myself is really sucking ass.

Almost forgot I would love the definition of a true burner. Is there a special uniform I can buy somewhere because I really have not been feeling a part of the community lately.

Got any special enlightenment music to go with that? Because I can read about enlightenment and I will feel enlightened but to get to the uber-enlightened stage I must read enlightening passages while meditating to enlightened music which through osmosis will definitely enlighten me to the point of near combustion.

Holy run-on fucking sentence Batman I am not changing it either.

I did not know that to be a burner you can ever be negative. I guess I'm out.

Have you visited your thread about Camp Israel? It would be interesting to hear about your experience (honestly asking here). As long as it isn't negative.

Okay. This is the hands-down funniest thread I have read in weeks. I mean, "Shut the fuck up hippie." Brilliant. Sheee-it.

you guys are terrible!!

Liz-baby is just looking for a little comraderie...companionship with like-minded individuals and all you can do is fire up a flame-fest...
of course she did ask for help from individuals whom she then proceeded to insult, which is, perhaps, not the wisest way to go about it...

and of course she did ask for an online BM community ON an online BM community...

okay, nevermind. as you were.

Chapter III in Alan Watts' classic "The Book: On The Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are" is titled "How To Be a Genuine Fake" Hi Lizwiz, and welcome to the club!

I started this Alan Watts thread last month and it just sat, as threads and rocks often do. See ya there, Liz:
