Aw thx I have been coping. I am still struggling to put together my appeal to my insurance company for denying my surgery. My long term disability finally kicked in so at least I am not suffering monetarily. I have been making the attempt to be more involved with my friends and family even when I don't feel good. It's hard some times but makes me feel better mentally. I am currently talking my best friend into going to Burning Man 2012 with me. So hopefully I'll make it out again next year. I am getting my blog updated with my BM story that I posted here. http://mixedstatesandme.blogspot.com/ I am currently excited because my best friend from Australia is coming to visit me and we are doing New Year's in NYC. And that's about it. Thank you so much for thinking of me!

I have been trying to butter up my son to fly out and be your driver, next year. But, he's being

I have narcolepsy and seven herniated disks in my spine. I can drive but not long distances. I wanted the experience of the road trip this year but I think for 2012 I am gonna fly. I had to leave all my stuff in Cali so flying out is now an easier option for me. I can then drive from Cali to the burn. I know so many people out west that it should be easy for me to find a partner in crime. My best friend may even come with me. I thank all of you who have been concerned and offered to help me. You are all so great!

I'm glad to hear your trip stands to be so much easier next year. (I'm not going to jinx you by saying "WILL be".)

It's funny you guys like the avatar pic. That is from my first burn in 2008. It is about day 5 or 6 and in the middle of a huge white out. I am in the tent killing time, reading, got bored and started playing dress up and taking photos. This pic is a close up of me in my fave scarf that year that I have always loved because of the tank girl vibe of the pigtails and goggles combo.

And I love Savannah's avatar too. Beautiful and artistic! It's a lovely shot.
