TPBM is lucky enough to work for the government, get off and get paid for the federal holidays.

Yeah! I work for the state (DOT). .
If it wasn't for the time off I get, (For instance the second pay period in January I'll have over 800hrs of sick time that I'll probably and hopefully never have use) I'd much rather be in the private sector.

Close-- that was one of the reasons I decided yesterday to come back on here after more than months-- more like a year or five. This time of year up here in the Great Lakes area of the Snow Belt hot, dusty, desert sounds pretty good.
