There's a special place in my heart for the Nutcracker, well performed.
I haven't seen it in decades!

It's being done in Montreal, and my niece is going... I'm jealous!

Patsh, this is what she is talking about. Her theater does it with random local children -- and their helicoptering parents. :P

In the next few weeks, there are five different nutcrackers being performed in Ogden. I do love the Ballet West production, although Odessey Dance does an interesting take.

Yggy...I would actually purchase a ticket to see you in tights and a short sparkly jacket.........

Also, I have a great vision of the Sugar Plumb Faerie bonking her head on the lights when the mighty cavalier lifts her a little too high....would also pay to see that...

It is similar to this new thing "radio", but instead of sound, "film" makes pictures that move!

The talk of 'The Nutcracker Suite" at this time of year always reminds me of one of my best friends. Back in the old days we were into professional wrestling as 'fans', getting tickets to events to see the action close up, and hear the banter. The wrestlers are performers as well as athletic. One year, I managed to get ringside tickets to a WCW event on a Saturday afternoon. My buddy had to say 'no' because he was taking his wife to the Nutcracker Suite performance at the University that evening. He told me he didn't want to be up in one of the balcony box seats (pretty expensive tickets) with a stack of signs lie "TIN SOLDIERS RULE!" like they have a pro 'rasslin events.

I still have an evil fantasy about getting a golf announcer to emcee a 'rasslin event.............

Good morning bar friends. It's a perfectly beautiful day. The birds are singing and the clouds are fluffy. Lots of work to do. Tomorrow I'll sell a load of stuff at the flea mkt. That is tons of fun too. Do we have any annisette? I'm in the mood.

Hello everyone. First freeze, high 20's, will be Sunday night/Monday morning. Time to start the ritual of covering and uncovering my Satsuma trees with every freeze. Wind is blowing like crazy bringing in the cold. Stay toasty my friends.

Hello Dear Bar

still thinking about yesterday...
There were a great many fine people there.
I even spoke to one or two until the music began.
Why do we do this event ? Maybe it is for Simon.
I wore my dress backwards so I could turn around away from the cameras.

Good evening bar peeps. I've got this quart of eggnog but not a clue what to add. Goes searching for Myers.

What alcohol goes in eggnog? It could be scotch. Scotch goes in milk.
