A little dusting of snow last night. Didn't work yesterday. Mixed emotions.
Gonna go across the highway to Bodines casino for breakfast. Never been there. There used to be a little trailer court and a steakhouse of sorts at that corner until about eight, maybe ten years ago.

Regarding FIGJAM.... I would rather he post this himself, but since he hasn't, and you are all worried....
I talked with him yesterday, and he reports a possible allergic reaction to something in the house he recently moved into. He has also remodeled the house extensively, so it could be one of the paints or other building material. He has been to his regular doc, and he has an appointment with a dermatologist. So this will soon get sorted out.
I know I am out of line posting this, but dang, "he started it", and you are all worried sick.

And your new house cannot possibly be as bad as the one next to my place, on the west side:
Brand new house maybe eight years ago. Was intended for the Mom, but she became too frail to live there. Sat vacant for a couple years, trying to sell it, but real estate prices went on a deep downswing. Finally rented it out.

The tenant was a middle aged lady. She had assorted dogs and cats. And she chain-smoked. She lived there maybe five years. During this time she brought me a few things to repair -- dresser drawers, an electric fan.... These things stank so awfully, I could barely work on them, outdoors. Same odor the few times I was at her front door, and even off her herself. Part cigarette smoke, part I-know-not-what.

Last summer she moved out. A few days later a locksmith changed the locks, but did a lousy job of it.

A week or two later... I saw one of her cats in a window! So I went over there to rescue the starving cat.
Well.... No cat. But.... The whole house was one giant litter box. Wall-to-wall, dog and cat waste. The stench defies description.

In the next 48 hours I removed six cats from that house. They were going in and out thru the dryer vent.

Much of the sub-flooring has been torn out. Nothing but bare joists. Bottom two feet of the sheet-rock. Much more. But I will not be surprised if they have to tear the house down.

Anyway, that was for those of you who enjoy horror stories.

Nah, Jethro Bodine bought (and then sold) a closed Wal-Mart. He never got anything off the ground.
The new Bodine's casino sits on the spot that the old Bodine's restaurant occupied. Different owners but same name.

Yeah! Bodines restaurant. There as a trailer court next to it.
Big5 is where the old Walmart was. Big5 used to be on the north end of town on Carson St and College Pkwy next to 7-11.
Max Baer wanted to build a Beverly Hillbilly themed casino with a 100', give or take, oil well. Got shot down.
Then he wanted to build one near 395 and Topsy Ln if not mistaking in Douglas county but got shot down for that as well.
Coffee and/or breakfast sounds good.

Sounds like it should be. Your thinking was right on track there yggy. But like Just_Joe said he was gonna build but never got any where.
I haven't heard anything about him since Douglas county turned him down and since the economy took a nose dive in 06. 07?

I refused to believe it and had to get up to find out more as he was doing the musical "Lazarus"
He was so fine a person

but then I really don't like the taste of green tea
and I attempt tp avoid my sugar craves so no honey either
