Fuck............... just, fuck. I never expected to outlive my little brother, but, I have come to terms with it. I am here for him and will go all the way to the edge with him, no question.

And let me tell you. His wife found him unresponsive Tuesday morning. Could not wake him up. So she left him in his bed at the top of the house, and went off to take her sisters to the airport. Did not call anybody until she got back, and found him waking up, with a high fever.
We got him to the nearest doctor. He was profoundly dehydrated. He'd been "tired" for the past couple days, in bed, not eating or drinking. Nobody helped him.
Everything's fine, you see, he'll be all better soon if he just gets some rest, he's had stage 4 prostate cancer for 3 years and now he has brain mets but he's still getting chemo, and "his doctors didn't say that" his life expectancy now is about 30 days.
And no she don't want me to come over to visit.

My bro was back in the hospital yesterday, home again today.
Tomorrow I hope to catch him alone long enough to get him to tell me how he wants to die. Some people (like my dad) want the whole family gathered round together at the end. Other people (like my mom) want to be alone, and will wait until there's nobody around no matter how long that takes. I've seen it both ways, too many times to believe it is anything but a choice.
So, fuck, let him tell me what he wants so I don't have to give a fuck about anybody else.
FUCK ALL THIS SHIT ANYWAY GODDAMMIT he's taking enough narcotics to kill his whole neighborhood and he's still in constant pain.
