Late Mornin to All!
Holy shit! Couldn't believe what I saw this morning. Tulips and daffodils breaking ground. I know they're tough flowers but mid January is kinda early. Oh well?
Went to Peg's eggs for breakfast :coffee: , Lowes for some cheap 2'x4' cdx plywood to bolt together with hog fence between each sheet. Hopefully reduces the dog from getting out.
Then grocery shopping.

Thank you! :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

I think the most exciting thing today is a visit from the home nurse. I might get to wash my hair, too. Whoot.

I did get a new laptop, that counts as my present. And a couple cute colostomy bag covers. My life is rich and exciting, neh?

Happy Birthday, AntiM.

Morning, kiddies. Drove a grandson to Santa Barbara to start college on Sunday and returned last night. Hadn't been there in many years and was blown away at how beautiful the campus and the city have grown. Looked like a young students paradise to my jaded eyes

Cheers

*raises a glass for those lost and those mourning a loss*

Happy birthday, AntiM! Stand back from that fire a bit, or maybe use extra-long marshmallow sticks hehe :)

I saw that whale project, it looks awesome! At first I had reservations (what with the whole threat of arson thing on Embrace), but seeing as it's a steel structure I imagine they'll have an exit plan (and hopefully the piece will have a long life either traveling the world or permanently installed in some lucky city). I'm guessing the mention of Tiffany glass is a typo, since Tiffany glass was a very specific type of glass produced from 1878-1933. Even using modern glass in that style would be impressive, and I'm a big fan of Android Jones' work. I doubt they'd bring the pier back, but who knows...

I've seen a few posts from arounds the internets about some cool projects coming to the playa this year, good luck to all those working on proposals for grants and various project write-ups. Which reminds me, I need to work on the write-up for my campmates for our 2016 nonsense.

Have a great Monday, try to stay dry and warm wherever you are!

Mornin All!

Had my DOT physical yesterday and damn near didn't pass.
Took three checks of my BP to be an acceptable level.
146/85, 158/88, 138/82 respectively. 140/90 is the highest that is acceptable.
Went to my own doctor last week and it was 134/78 first check.
Switching to decaf might help
Oh well!
Wishin everybody a safe day.

My BP is under control with simple water pills and hydration. We got Larry's down to pass his DOT by cutting sodium and choosing better foods. I still am trying to get him off "dinner sausages", he eats the damned things like hot dogs.

Happy late birthday!

Great news on the bp. Mine has been good for a while now so my dr is getting me off the meds.

Cheers!

Hooray on the blood pressure, but now I'm wondering what dinner sausages are. Like kielbasa and bratwurst, or something else? Now I'm kind of jonesing for sausages, but I'm also jonesing for some leftover pizza I've got from last night.

Busy-ish day, though currently I'm in hurry-up-and-wait mode. I got the ePlaya domain switched over and sorted out, but the tech team is still working on getting the re-direct set up. In the meantime, if you see or hear of anyone having trouble logging into eplaya.burningman.org, tell them to try logging into eplaya.burningman.org instead.

While I'm waiting I think I'm gonna go grab some nibbles.

Yes, and there are others.

Applegate, Eckrich, Hillshire Farms .... big sausages made for use in recipes, but you can just eat them too.

Ah yeah, I've seen some of those at the store, and had he HF polish sausage quite a few times. Yum, but yeah probably a little processed and a wee bit saltier than most doctors would like.

Whew, we're in the home stretch on the .org migration. We'll have a short period of downtime (a few minutes) in a bit, then we ought to be all set to go.
