I'm on lisinopryl. 20mg.

I'm trying to cut sodium and sugar too, as well as have smaller portions. That's a big downfall I have as well, hot dogs, bologna, salami, sausage, and dare I say it, bacon and most processed meats. Not to mention cheese. Kinda hard to cut sodium with processed meat though. Might be my German side.
But I have lost 15lbs in the last year and half.

Mine is hydrochlorothiazide. I just like saying it, rather, I sing it. My weight is stubborn, even on a strict 14~1600 cals a day. Right now I am losing weight, enforced diet and small portion sizes. I'm just worried when I get put back together I will eat all the things.

Larry doesn't gain weight easily, but he no longer can eat ten thousand calories a day without consequence. I'm not kidding either, a nutritionist once had him trapped in a hospital isolation room for 48 days, and he was given 9k calories a day (three double portion meals, three shakes, and three hoagies). He quit sleeping, paced a lot, and didn't gain a pound. Now he's a little soft in the middle, although he won't admit it, poor darling.

Off to work... another day of making stuff go up and down and sideways and diagonal even. And not letting anything crash.

Depends how far away you have to reach to get the thing. But pretty much any boom truck can handle that job if the location isn't screwy. If you lived in Seattle, I'd swing by and move it for you, but... oh well.

Interesting piece, Doc. We do a sort of split storage scheme - the stuff we don't need access to throughout the year gets stored in NV, and we bring the stuff that requires maintenance... or take home the old/bring out the new so we can have it local to work on.

It's a wet and soggy morning here, but from what I saw on news sites that's a whole lot better than the east coast is getting right now. Stay warm and safe and whatnot. I'm really excited for tonight's Steampunk World's Faire here. It's an opportunity to get decked out, take in lots of amazing art and a few great performers on the bill, plus the general milling about, fancy cocktails, and bits of dancing. I've got to try and remember to take a few pictures.

Meanwhile there's a busy day of testing and configuring on a few different projects for me. A lot more than I'd like, since a bunch of different things that aren't normally all active at the same time... are active at the same time. I also came up with an idea for a video project I want to tinker with, but we'll see whether there's any time to work on that.

Cheers!

Hi MDF! I hope you get on home before it really sets in there. Probably only 3" to 6" here. I guess we're just on the edge of it.

I'm hoping to mostly stay snug indoors and make some art. Well.. OK.. maybe get out and dance in the snow a little.. with shovel in hand.

The downwind side of the house has snow up to the windows, plus. Power is on. Car in the basement in the middle of a stereo upgrade.....I really needed a day or 2 off. Dogs sleeping on my feet.

Stinko the Boy-Dog is still asleep on my left foot. Blizzard-ish here. Good thing I have a car in the basement to tinker with. Hey MDF, get any snow at all up there?

We just have our usual Pacific Northwest winter 40s to 50s and rain most of the time. Lots of it.
No wonder we have about a 78% suicide rate.

I remember January 2005 we got about five feet in one week. Areas of Reno got closer to seven. That was an extreme here since "normal" amount say from November to March is about 15-25 inches. Plus or minus. Depending on elevation, closeness to the mountains or a body of water: lake tahoe, pyramid, even Walker lake.

*strolls in, yawning with a slight smile in the corner, sipping from a mug of tea with honey*

'Morning! What fabulous rain! Pretty good amounts of rain, but on-and-off, so no flooding to speak of.

*unfolds Sunday newspaper comics -- then lays the paper back down*

Say... I have a slight dilemma. A neighbor is moving and wants to give me her hot tub. It's a small and sort'a portable one -- barely room for four. Fiberglass in and out, runs on 110 Volts.

But I don't know that I would use it much. I've used it a few times where it is sitting, and I can take it or leave it. I'm thinking it wouldn't be worth the extra electric cost, plus maintenance. And I would need to pour a slab to set it on.

Well, I'm just kind'a thinking out loud.

*starts reading comics*

Well Elliot, I would go ahead and get it. You don't need a slab, you could build a "mini-deck", 4x4 PT posts set on 1/2 bags of Ready-mix. 2' on centers, and 2x6 PT surface. That should hold it. I have a 4 person, 110v, runs about $10 a month extra. Very limited chemical use, so there isn't really a cost to figure in there. I use mine most every night. Even if you use it 1-2 times a week, it will be worth it. Nothing like a good hot soaking to remove the day. Dooo Eeeet.

My neighbor said $20 a month, but of course there are numerous variables.
I'm no fan of chlorine. I think I will look into the alternatives. I know there is at least one alternative. And then there is salt. Reckon I will read up on this a bit.

Wood fired water heater with a pump to recirculate it through the tub.

Salt is how I would go.
