In other news I scored 3 extremely weird, cool, freaky mannequins the other day from a local burner. I have them set up in my dining room right now. Last night forgot they were there...yeah my heart just about burst out of my chest when I turned around

Good morning, and happy bidet bday, mdmf!

I wish I had a mannequin or three to art up. At my old art collective we had a head and torso that we decked out and glammed up as the physical embodiment of 'the space wench' (also the name of our art car). Year round she had a place of honor at the entrance to our space at all our events and functions, then we'd bring her out to Black Rock City... Thinking back, I wish I'd taken pictures of all the transformations and mutations she'd gotten in the time I was there.... but oh, the memories.

Anyhow, hooray for Friday, Lincoln's and Charles Darwin's birthdays too!

Thanks. Slower than slow. One day at a time. We just went and bought a recliner loveseat to replace our not so comfy couch so I can sleep propped up when I need to. About three or four nights a week, I just cannot get comfy lying down, and no, a new mattress is not the issue/answer. I am reluctant to take painkillers, since the pain is git related, slowing it down is counter-productive.

I complain a hell of a lot more.

Thought I'd check this place out....haven't been in here.

Went through the RV today, and got kinda nostalgic. Even though this particular RV hasn't been to the burn yet, lots of stuff in it has been, as it all came from the RV this new one replaced.

Im ready for the burn.....we have the Lucidity Festival just a few miles north of us, and that usually marks the beginning of my prep and planning for the burn. Monday will be exactly 6 months until I leave, so as usual im starting to make plans.

I'll take a seat in the corner and sip a ginger beer, and plan an art car build that will never happen.

We have a '59 Cadillac tail end that had been cut off and made into a couch, and the matching front end cut off into a wall hanging. They were nice, and we're actually gonna put most of it all back onto a '59 Cadillac that is stashed away in the back of the shop!!
Not only are the bumpers and trim getting hard to find, but you wouldn't believe how expensive chrome is nowadays.
