Howdy from Austin, TX!

Post by novarae » Sat Feb 06, 2016 3:09 pm

Hello, burners of old and burners to be!

2016 will be my first time at Burning Man, and probably not my last. This is something I've been dreaming of since I knew it was a thing to be dreamed. I've convinced my partner to come with me-- he was skeptical at first, but now he's for it! I can't wait! I'd love to connect with other Austinites, and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and learning from your past experiences. :D I'm not usually big on planning, but I want to do this right.

I'm hoping to volunteer as well! So maybe you'll see my in the Cafe or selling ice.

Peace!

~Rae

The Austin community is awesome and active!

They hold church night every Wednesday, they meet at the warehouse and work on burning projects and socialize.

Flipside, the Austin regional, is held Memorial Day weekend. (ticket requests are now closed, but you can sign up for re-sell opportunities on their website)
They also have an informative FB group.

Get connected with your local burners!

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
