ha, it's raining up here!
Turns out EspressoDude lives only about 15 mins. away, so hoping to stop in for a visit while here. I think Foxfur is over an hour away, though, so too bad for that.
Who else is up here?

awe A...........they're not all my acronyms, many were created over the years. As stated, somewhere here Fishy,IIRC, has a thread which defines them, or most of them.

Hot Cauc..us, sharp-dressed-men, and earth defense systems among other things...

Today's been good so far. We were both up early and made the most of it, hitting up the friendly neighborhood apocalyptic warehouse merchant to stock up on vodka, vicious chemicals, and other goodies. The girlie got some wild caught cold water lobster tails that she'll use with her precision cooking machinery to make her own idea of the perfect lobster roll... and I got some fancy pants beef for corned beef cookery later in the week. My cook will be decidedly lower tech in a crock pot, but awesome all the same.

After the warehouse joint we hit up the food truck corral across the street and got the tastiest of nibbles. I probably should be more productive today, but I think this is pushing the limits for a lazy Sunday...drinks all round!

I called off today and the 12th.
With all the acronyms going around, I went to the doctor this morning and he said I have ETD. Which is why I called off.
Damn. I'm now just under 800hrs of USL.

ETD? Eustachian Tube Dysfunction!
Don't ask me to pronounce the first word.
From what I learned, we all have two Eustachian Tubes (et). The et goes from our throat to our middle ear. When we swallow or yawn, a bit of air travels up the et to equalize air pressure on our eardrums. As well as expel any fluids. So them little tubes play a major role of helping our ears "pop" when we fly or travel to higher altitudes and may not be used to it.
On super Sunday I started fighting a bad cough/cold. Over the course of a week or so, an excess amount of fluid accumulated in my right et. Which is common. Now I know why it felt like I was wearing earplugs all last week. It felt like I was going deaf. When someone was talking to me, their speech sounded muffled.
In most cases, it clears up in a few days or a week or so like mine did. On rare occasions, more medical treatment is needed.

That's todays lesson from Dr. catman.
