Hello!
I'm getting ready for a long trip from Saudi Arabia to Burning Man this year. I've been doing a lot of reading, researching and trying to get as acquainted as possible before the journey. CRAZY EXCITED!
So a little about me, name is Mariam, live in Jeddah and founded a co-working space here that focuses on creativity and well being. We provide shared space for people to work, encourage collaboration between our members and organise events and workshops from art shows, movie screenings, open mic nights, meditation sessions, yoga sessions and lots more - all underground/private considering the country's laws and regulations. It is so good to be able to provide a platform for free expression in a place that limits it and see how people open up, evolve and connect through that.
I've known about burning man for ages and this year feels so right. My entire being is ready for this. I'm trying to get a few friends on board too so creating a little pdf of all the info I've collected and learned throughout my research - extremely summarised - cause it's a lot to take in! I can so share the PDF with anyone who feels like it could help - just send me a message and I'll email it to you.
The plan is to get to SF by 25th August, get everything we need from there and road trip to Black Rock. Anyone else taking that route? Let's meet up!
Also, I will be in DC before then (my brothers wedding - yay!): July + August - so if any burners are there those months - let's meet up then too!
Can't wait! Let's connect!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Pretty much half the event's traffic will be headed there from SF and other points in CA, so it won't be a lonely road at all.The plan is to get to SF by 25th August, get everything we need from there and road trip to Black Rock. Anyone else taking that route?

Welcome.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
