Belated thanks for the birthday wishes, everybody! I had a great weekend, but spent little of it near the computer or the interwebz. There were plenty of drinks at one point, but dammit I forgot all about the bottle of absinthe!

Yesterday was zany busy with testing and tinkering on some stuff, with lots more geeky head-scratching to come in the rest of the week. At least it'll be head-scratching on fun projects :)

well, I need a drink!
seems, I should have had a helper? I cut and then ran to the truck to pull the cable with it, then cut and ran back.....but, could not be at the tree, to steer it with the chainsaw for that last "degree" of swing, since I was in the truck pulling......oops.

Now it's a very nearly direct tv!

Just got back a little while ago from a nice little sendoff for Will at HQ. Lots of great stories and pictures, good times to be had. It's a bittersweet departure, on one hand I'm bummed and will miss him but on the other I'm happy for him with his new gig and I'll still probably see him and talk to him a fair bit... just in a less official capacity.

Now that I have a surgery date (Mayish), I feel more settled. There will be a surgery after that, but definitely after TTITD. I'll just have to take it as easy as I can until all is done. Maui in January is looking good!
