I had meant to start on the pie on Sunday while you were here, but forgot. There wasn't really a shortage of food or nibbles, plus after DJ's From Mars on Saturday night I was kind of a zombie the next day.

I was kind of a zombie for half the day yesterday, too, after the all day and nighter working on the big upgrade. Then again, there'll be plenty of time for sleep when I'm dead

Yes, Sunday was kind of a blur....with lots of food. Zombie? Took me til noon on Monday to get home....I am still basking in the afterglow of Saturday night. A million thanks for your hospitality. A true adventure out there for an East Coaster.

I had a bit of Jameson early in the evening, then a few rounds of vodka & vicious chemicals later on. Thanks to the scheming of a couple devious cats, I'm up much earlier than I'd like and not quite sure whether I should try to get back to sleep for an hour or two, or just get cracking and start the day early.

Woohoo for a semi-productive day of nonsense! I spent the morning and early afternoon working on some geekery and tweaking of code, while my sweetie got all her taxes stuff rocked out. The goal was to get through it all with enough time to spare so we could race off to do errands.... and of course stuff was taking longer than we wanted, so we threw some technology at it. Since we live in town, we were able to dial up one of a couple apps and book orders for the stuff we needed to pick up, as well as nibbles for dinner. I know, it's stuff we could have done ourselves, but it would have taken a good hour or more to do the shop and deal with Saturday lines and all that. Since the timing worked out, the groceries and dinner stuff arrived at just around the time Pandorra was finishing up her taxes. With the time she saved not running errands, she was able to take some leftover bread we have and have a go at a bread pudding recipe she's been wanting to try.

And of course, victory drinks to celebrate the completion of taxes... no need to hold off until after we're back from errands since we didn't need to go out.

Trilo, I envy you living in the city...and then I visit the country. Yesterday was a fine time in Auburn old town. 25 Brides of March lazing on the courthouse lawn. Picnic, vows on the stairs, march across town to the restaurant, treated like royality, hit the streets before we fade away for another year. It was lots of fun. The Bootlegger restaurant treated us well and the food was great.

That looks like it was a whole lot of fun. There's a great brides of march shindig that goes down in SF, too, I think Danger Ranger and the other cacaphonists have been doing that since the late 80's.

getting really windy up here now, rain seems to be blowing in.
I took advantage of the sustained wind and direction, to fall a couple of trees that were leaining where I didn't want them to go. Worked like a charm. well, exciting for a few seconds when the wind suddenly let up and the tree started back the other way....haaha, but it picked up and went right where planned.
