Well, the ticket begging has moved to my email. I find it funny when people ask for more tickets than we have for the core members of the camp, and do not bother to mention what they even begin to think our camp does. Hitting it early this year.

YES! I got a ticket and a vehicle pass. Caffeineslinger thanks for remembering me. I feel so sorry for everyone that missed out today. It's a crushing blow. Don't give up. The more involved you are, the more friends you make and the better your chances are for getting a ticket. I wouldn't have made it last year without my involvement in the off season. (And ePlaya friends.) Help with projects. Volunteer at local events. Have some fun. Tickets will be shaking loose up until the gates open.

Thanks Savannah. No drink for me. I'm going to work. It seems that work keeps interrupting my drinking. I think I should stay off of ePlaya till tempers calm down. It makes me feel bad that all of these new, (and veteran), burners feel slighted. They should approach the sales knowing there is a severe shortage and the possibility of coming away empty handed is likely. Being a good person and wanting to go doesn't change the odds. In 2011 we had to wait in line 8 to 12 hours to not get a ticket!!!!!!!!!

To be fair, those who went through hell on ticket day in 2011 were still easily able to come back and purchase a ticket the next day - or at any point between then and late July when tickets eventually sold out

I got a weird email yesterday too, AntiM. A person I didn't know with a random unsolicited request for extra tickets (I wish I had 'em for ePlayans in need). Hopefully it was a knee-jerk reaction to yesterday's sale and not a sign of things to come this season.

Good call, Ratty. Since the sale just happened yesterday, it's like a fresh wound and emotions are a little raw. Once people get through the shock, and once we're cleared to open up the ticket boards, I think it may get easier for people.

I had hoped to get some work done on my camp's map and info for our placement questionnaire, but things have been a little hectic. Not just with BMan, but a couple other projects I work on were released this week and other assorted bits of crazy. Time to make cocktails, and enjoy a night of rest! Cheers!

When at various steampunk or victorian or western events, I notice more use of flowery and colorful language as it was used in days gone by. So vodka and red bull became vodka and vicious chemicals. It's got a nice ring to it, I think. Your vodka and fruit-juice elixir sounds enticing, though

Snooooooow Day! It's all kinds of winter outside right now in Reno. Got an unexpected day off, thank you snow god!

Woke up around 10:30 to about 2" of snow in Carson City. It'll be all but melted by the time I leave for work at 2 this afternoon.
Still thinking it's gonna be a 12 hour night.
About 34 right now, wind chill is 25....according to the weather channel.

Okay, it's late in the morning, but I just got a few minutes to relax and grab a bite. Over the weekend Pandorra and I (well, mostly her) made another tarte tatin that came out really well...

Evening Bar...its been a day. A good day

Good day here too. Prepping for a work-weekend (3 days mid April) to set up for our AZ regional Saguaro Man, (which is 5 days end of April). I get to test out my new tent... the last one (I can say, "literally") Bit The Dust last year after 5 excellent burns and a shitload of regionals and local camping. Served me well.

I dunno about all you guys, but I'm so grateful to be alive, and connected (even if only slightly) to all you wonderful Burner Family... you have no idea what inspiration you provide to keep on keepin' on!!
