Hi, Moonbeams here.

Post by Moonbeams » Wed Mar 23, 2016 2:00 pm

VIR-GIN!!!! And so excited! Burning Man is my belated SIXTIETH birthday present from my beloved Boy! Did I say I was excited?

I am Moonbeams. I am not right. What a fabulous compliment from my nephew.

AKA Camping Goddess, AKA Little Miss Watershed. AKA TNpinkkayaker.

I dance to the music in the grocery store and sometimes to the music in my head.

I am a tree-hugging, kayaking, shoe-loving, bead-stringing, fly-tying, young-at-heart, earth loving Druid. And I dance to the music in my head. (I think I said that part.)

Counting down the days and hours!
I HAVE a plan. It doesn't mean the plan is going to work because. you know, GREMLINS!

Hahaha nice to meet you, fellow head-music-dancer! It's my first year too.

FLY TYING IS SUCH A COOL HOBBY. How long have you been doing that?

Happy belated birthday!

@Zaxary, I started tying flies about 8 years ago to donate to environmental groups for fundraising auctions. I have also tied an 8-fly box for high-dollar donors. Just my way of giving back to those who protect our earth.

Nice to meet another newbie!

Welcome to ePlaya Moonbeam. You have 6 months to prepare. The joyful anticipation is part of the fun. You have 6 months to get ready so start hoppin. Do tons of research by reading everything you can. Make lists as you go. Prioritize the purchases and modifications. When you are pulling out of the driveway there will be several things you didn't get to. You need food, shelter and comfort. Everything else should come later. Have fun and can't wait to hug you in person. If you come to the Meet & Greet I'll introduce you to Moonbeam56.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

Hi Moonbeams. I'll caution you, Burning Man is no tree-hugging environmentally friendly garden party... it's lights, lasers, sparks, flame cannons, things being burned for the hell of it, all running on probably millions of watts of gas and diesel generators just for the sake of a party.
But - you're gonna love it. As they say, come to the dark side, we have cookies!

Oh, I'm aware. I gave up white gloves and garden parties yeeeears ago (unless there were cocktails). And since you've got the cookies, I'll bring the kool-ade and we'll have more fun than an SEC tailgate party.

LASH!!!!!!!

She is AWESOME!! My goal is to be an embarrassment to my niece and nephews and the greats for as long as I am around.

Signed,

I did the Little Teapot dance at the St. Louis Arch when my Girl Scouts weren't cooperating.

I also did the Chicken Dance while waiting in line for an amusement area train ride.
