Well, moving forward. I have tons of t-shirts and pieces cut from t-shirts. (Because the shirt was old but the picture or words were good.) I can cut 2 or 3 facemasks from a large t-shirt and also get a little sun cape from the top portion. These are a few examples of my creations. They come in all sizes. They are all 100% cotton. Each one is double layered.

One picture shows what the ties look like when I cut them. The other picture is after I stretch the fabric ends. They work great and will make great playa gifts.

Finished the design for one of my gift items and got them in the queue for production. Also signed up for some hat-making classes. Not sure if I will get good enough at it in time to make anything for this year, so maybe I should save that one for the 2017 list.

I've got a specific design in mind, so I'll be studiously experimenting to see if I can make that a reality.

I just checked cross-country flights out of curiosity. Found something at just the right time for much less than I expected, so I booked it! An unexpected item to cross off the to-do list this far in advance...and it's fully changeable with no fee.

I got a wonderful 20 foot flagpole. It's a durable plastic, telescopic, extending thing. The base starts as an inch and a half pipe and narrows to the shape of a fishing pole tip. It all fits inside it's self and is just over 3 feet long. Free of course. I'm determined to dress up the camp this year.

I ordered my 4 season tent last night long with some programable LED tech to be sewn into clothes!

Very cool on the flagpole, Ratty! Nice dressing for the camp, plus it should serve as a handy beacon for campmates as they get closer to camp.

Ticket and vehicle pass purchase this week, plus I ordered another big box 'o lag screws. I've already got plenty and have been using them a couple years to anchor key points of structures (thanks figjam, and to Just_Joe for the nudge of encouragement), but this year I want to use them to replace all the stakes and spikes.

I bought a stove system today that can heat up 1 liter of water in about 2 minutes. I already made coffee with it! It will also work very well for soups/stews and dehydrated foods.

I got a USB charge-a-mabob for camp. It's got plenty of watts but is a smart charger in that it detects whatever's plugged in and sends only at the rate needed/supported, and has 10 ports. This way we can have one thing plugged in and campmates can all plug their phones or devices in at once.

Sorting and packing some of this years supplies. I made about a dozen buddie burners. Each one provides between 45 minutes to 2 hours of heat. My campmate gets up in the wee hours to go hear a certain DJ. She uses the propane stove and lantern for heat. Wow. I'll bring the little propane heater too.

Working on sewing a shade cover out of canvas for my popup trailer.

Worked out my bike situation so I no longer have to worry about that! I'll be able to pick it up and leave it with a camp on the playa which makes things much easier.

Now I need to start working on my shade cover and swamp cooler! I plan on putting both in the NYC container so I can fly with survival essentials only. I might actually be able to do this without extra checked bags. Burner Express is looking more and more attractive.

Flights are booked and I got great rates! Catching a sweet direct flight from JFK Thursday pre-gate. It's an evening fight so I can leave after work. Will probably work very unproductively from my hotel for a half-day Friday before visiting with a friend. Saturday is for shopping. See you in line for the gate Sunday morning!

I opted to skip the man burn so I can avoid exodus but more importantly be home early Sunday afternoon so I can have a day and a half with the family before heading to work Tuesday.

Im very happy most of my expenses are already taken care of with zero debt.

We finally pulled the trigger on the Honda generator we've been coveting for years. Without debt. We camp a lot outside the burn so it will get lots of use.

You would not believe the garage sale at my house.. Grandfathers shed is 10X24X5 ft. There is stuff from his parents and as far back as 1870's.. Even a poor mans wooden saddle.. Steam punk parts forever in there.. Have not gotten to the three locked boxes?????... Right now the sale is set up with items for 25 cent 50 cent and a dollar.. Some larger tools priced as marked.. One 1/4 inch wrench is worth $10.. Model T wrenches.. Have to sell this for more table room..

I bought an old Lincoln Towncar Limousine for $675.00. Put in a beefier alternator and main battery. Even so, when running and everything turned off, it still has a 1 amp draw somewhere. Probably a short on bare wires in lighting system. I'll be tracking that down this Spring. Once started, it ran and drove fine to my house. Battery is disconnected between runs to save charge.

Landau roof needs new vinyl wrap, but I'll have to save up for that. The streach limo has a couch and a bar, so I can just sleep there and not in a tent. Mobility Limo.

When the engine is running there will be some power draw from the ignition system, fuel pump if its electric, it may still run the ventilation fan at low speed even when "off", there are any number of electric loads when the engine is running.
