No dancing today though. I've been limping all week and at times barely able to walk. Got a shot UP the heel of my left foot on Monday. That fucking hurt too. I thought the pain of planter fuckedupitus would would go away in a day or so, apparently not  Really want to get out and walk the dog...

Ah well it's still FRIDAY so there is that :D[/quote]

Ygmir, I was just wondering about something. I ship maybe a thousand "things" a year due to my online sales. UPS says they will deliver anywhere. Question: does the HOF have an address? You know where I am going....rite?

I feel the pain there lucky. I've had those cortozone shots in my feet in the past. I have high arches. My foot doctor prescribed inserts that made the pain worse. I've found those $50 Doctor Schols inserts a lot better. Unfortunatly, the only place I know where to get them at is walmart. Usually the display is in front of the pharmacy.
Hope the pain subsides soon.

I've got arch issues and foot pain as well, I should do myself the favor this year and figure out a significantly more comfortable footwear solution on & off the playa....

Meanwhile I wish I could beat whatever I came down with earlier in the week. Usually my immune systems kicks whatever I get in the teeth and I'm back within a day or two, but this time is taking longer. Today I brought out the big guns, laying under a warm comforter and covered in cats. Every time I make like I'm gonna get up and get stuff done, one or both of them just look at me and give me a look that says "don't even try it" - they're pretty good like that.

I've had seven on the bed with me at one time. Kinda sucks when they all decide to groom themselves at the same time and it's 2:00am

I'll just add my experience with the recent 'crud' that's been going around.

Mine lasted 2 weeks, and now it's gone. Usually, I'll get a cold once in 5 to 8 years, and it'll be gone in 2 days. Either this was a doozie of a bug, or my immune system was taking a (well-deserved) break. Or both...

I hope you all get to feeling better in every way, very soon! (Feet, too!)

Hugs, Ratty. I'm not sick so much as miserable and incapacitated. End result isn't much different other than it will take major surgery to repair me, and this is a long haul.

I had pretty bad pain in one foot when we went on a cruise. I tried those Good Feet inserts they shill on the ship. Holy schmokes, they worked, and worked amazingly well. I know they sell a different, and very expensive, system in their stores, but that little gray plastic insert (which is not plastic) did wonders for me. Foot quit hurting quickly, and I also dumped a bunch of back and knee pain. Started walking again.

Mornin All!!

Holy crap. I initially got up at 04:00am and started getting ready for work until I looked at a calendar. I was in the kitchen putting stuff in my lunch box. Maybe I was sleep walking or dreamin, I don't know but that was a nightmare.

I went back to bed for another three hours. Now I'm gonna go make some oatmeal, cut the grass and pull some weeds before it rains.

Aw fuck working outside

Good Morning Bar! Happy Saturday! I am doing a half day at work today, and thought I'd try having the morning free, and go in later. I've been working Saturday mornings for a while, since I thought having the afternoon free was better, but I think I might prefer this. The best part of a day off is sleeping late (which is easiest to do in the morning, I find) and then puttering with household chores while I have the good morning energy. They have an attendance policy at work where everyone is allotted an account of unpaid time (to be used for unplanned events like lateness, and absences beyond accrued sick time) everybody's account got the quarterly boost/refill this week, and guess what? They lost the equivalent of one whole shift in hours as many people took "holidays." It happens four times a year, so they expect it somewhat. So, overtime is needed to fix the bubble of work, voluntary for me, but mandatory for others. But that's o.k. with me as the money helps with TTITD.

Sorry about the foot, Lucky, and bug visitors for you all. Don't fight bed rest is my motto. If you can afford it, in most cases, you end up with a shorter battle overall. I would love some cat therapy just in general, it sounds cozy and nice.

Whats nice about going to work in the afternoon is not getting up to a blasted alarm clock.
The way I look at it is it's almost like being retired, not getting up to an alarm.
That's why I like working nights.
Hope your day was easy. :D

Thanks for the kind words and well wishes. This thing keeps dragging on, though I feel like I'm on the other side of it. Hopefully wonderful weekends were had by all. Back to cold meds and tinkering with designs during downtime.

Welcome to ePlaya!
Thank you Savannah!

Galan, I go to Auburn. You know any other burners there? All the people I know are Sugar Plump Fairies. Except a couple of Kims.
Hi Ratty – I’m aware that there are a fair number of Burners in the Auburn Area. However, I’ve only met a few. As a restaurant guy, I am not available for most night and weekend opportunities to connect.

Doc Adams? is that you?

I'm in Grass Valley, just up the hill. There are a lot of burners up here in Nevada County, too.

I'm in Newcastle, about 7 miles from Auburn. All sorts of our campmates are from the general Newcastle-Ophir-Auburn area. If you'd like to meet up, say at the Auburn Alehouse, give me a shout out.

Hi Guys. Just peeking in. Had a lovely lunch yesterday with the lovely Little Flower in Sausalito. Beautiful day. Had a table overlooking the bay and when the sun came out the view was magical, certainly no less magical than the company of my dear friend Little Flower.

Hi Marty! Went and saw the G-men whomp the Dodgers on Opening Day. Glorious. Then drove down to L.A. to see Joelle, my youngest, in a play at USC. In the meantime I turned on the TV at the Embassy Suites (they have DirecTV so I knew the Giant-Dodger game would be on) and lo and behold, no Dodger game. Only Time Warner Cable carries it and they won't share with other providers, even for a fee. Just another reason to hate the damn Dodgers. So I missed three very exciting games. Screw you TWC. Screw you Dodgers. And Vin Scully, you will be missed. Not that it matters, nobody can hear you anyway.

Yeah, the Giants are off to a good start ... 3 out of 4 against the Dodgers. We'll see how they do in Colorado tonight. Can't see the game as I am going to the SF ballet tonight. Will be seeing some truly great athletes there tonight. Meanwhile will be home to see the Warriors win #73 against the Grizzlies. What a fun bunch they are to watch. Amazing

I'm guessing that Giant fans are visioning them getting in the world series, this being an even year?
I congragulate them for taking 3 out 4, and Madison Bumgardner on his 2nd home run against Clayton Kershaw, but the season is only a week old. The Dodgers are cry babies and the Giants let all the flattery they get go to their heads. Neither team deserves to be in the spotlight, but the Dodgers have been my team since I was a kid. My dad, originally from New York liked them when they were in Brooklyn. In 1954 my parents moved to Carson City and when the Dodgers moved to LA in 55, he still followed them. In 56 my parents moved to LA and my dad took me to many games when I was growing up, hence, like father like son.
On June 28th we're going to see the Giants triple AAA team in Sacramentoe. Already have tickets. Sec 111, row 9 seat 10&11.
On April 23rd we're going to see the Reno Aces take on the Fresno Grizzlies, the Giants former triple AAA team. Sec 114, row 8, seat 19&20.

Wishing everybody who follows baseball a great year and hope their team does good in the next five and half months of regular season.

Good evening, all! Man, it's good to finally have feeling badly behind me. Yesterday started out a little weak, but I took things easy and by the end of the day was none the worse for wear. Today was the first day I woke up feeling back to full strength in a while. Today's been productive, and bonus points for the weather hanging in there. It was gray, but the temps were nice and it never went from gray to wet (of course having said that, it'll probably start raining). So long as no more plagues or pestilences catch me before the weekend I should be good. Underworld (one of my favorite groups) is in town, I've been looking forward to seeing them again for a while.

I don't really follow the sportsball, though living within a mile or so of the stadium we get a lot of fallout. It's made our cats old pros when it comes to fireworks - where a lot of pets get all worked up and stressed out around 4th of July or New Year's ours just kind of lift their heads and look out the window for a minute before going back to sleep.

The field lights would be the second downfall to living close to a stadium be it baseball, football, NASCAR, even a high school sport stadium.
Traffic would be the biggest.
Having a front row seat for fireworks would be nice but would probably get old after awhile.
At least your cats don't get agitated. :D

Good to hear you got the boogers out.

Glad you're back up to speed, Trilo!

Not a lot of sportsball here, but there is a University and a minor league baseball field. Mostly I can hear the fireworks if I am in the basement, the concussions echo down my chimney.

Good news, my surgery which had been moved from June to May, is now scheduled for next week. Good, more time to heal before summer!
