Hi Cool People! First time burner

I'm from Los Angeles, a BM virgin. Athletic male in early 30's.

Believe it or not, I JUST came to know of BM in Feb of 2016! I have done a lot of research since then, but I am sure I'm just scratching the surface in terms of the event info, survival tips, various art projects, which village/camp to join etc. And today I located this website.

I want to help out with an art project, and hopefully get to enjoy the rest of the art work in the playa this year (2016), but I don't even have a ticket at this point. STEM and OMG do not look that much promising either as a chunk of folks won't get from there :(

In any case, I'd love to meet you guys, and see what's out there. This is an awesome community and glad to locate you!

Curious welcome to ePlaya. This site can help you prepare and give some insight as to just what's up. Tickets are a little harder to come by when you don't know anyone. You're in LA. there are events to attend. Groups to get in touch with. People that need help on projects. Start searching them out. 5 months is plenty of time to prepare. Read the comments left for other newcomers in this section. You'll pick up lots of suggestions on how to 'tap into' the burner community. Now...step up on the platform and get ready for the ride of your life. No safetybelts. You're not allowed to hold the handrail. Things will never be the same.

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
