I dunno if Thomas was worthy either, but Jesus still allowed him to follow.

Never know what purpose I may serve, now do ya Joel?

It's going good... But it is still incomplete. I've got a list of requirements (bar, shelter, cooling system, chairs and tables, backdrop, stage for entertainment, electrical system, etc., etc.) but I'm still researching dollar figures and other things (support system for shade, transport to site, etc.)

It's a slog, but I'm getting the figures down before I slam people with it. When we know what we need, then we can move on it.

Plus I'm trying to categorize some of the suggestions (totem pole, name tags, sock display, etc.) into a coherent form... It's coming together.

Ah, that kind of elephant.

Here I was thinking about the time I was over in Oakland near the coliseum sitting in my truck across the street from some fast food shop eating, and I see this little dog come running up the street on his hind legs doing little loopty-loos. I'm thinking that is pretty weird... and all of a sudden here comes this Indian elephant, and to her tail is another, and another... seven or eight followed by this giant African elephant and two men. Turns out the circus was in town and they were taking them to the train to go to their next stop.

It was one the most beautiful anachronisms I have ever witnessed.

Anyway, I am a freak for elephants.

Well, in that case, a visit from Stamper would have been the capper for you to that trip to that neighborhood.

Last night I was thinking that I should build an alter to our vanished elephants (mammoths and mastadons) on my father's land. I think they are what I miss the most.

Speaking of monuments... that reminds me of Jumbo. I used to have this composite pull toy of him with little red wheels that was sold at the circus...

talk about irony, now that I think about it... uh, forget it. Maybe I'll tell you about it later in person.

Theme idea: Kareoke
Banner: What Are You Listening To?

They cost $16 at Walmart, and there are a lot of free downloads out there. I'm not into making it happen, just thought I'd throw it out there.

HEY SAMTZU... did I offend you with this post? Because I just got the most incriminating PM flame I have ever gotten on this site (OUCH! And trust me, that is saying a lot). I meant no disrespect.... I was just curious how it was coming when I read about how DVD helped you do up the thread for this expressed purpose.

In any case, I am sure I am not the only one who is thankful for your efforts.

No... I was offended, or even annoyed... you asked for an update, that's all. It actually made me review my thought process and then marvel at it. I really do get anal over some of this shit. No, no offence. Sorry about the PM, but it wasn't me (as you know)..

I figured as much. Of course... not you... or anyone that I have had prior 'discussion' with. This one was just off the wall!!!

You have actually did a pretty damn fine job of tolerating and communicating with me.

Thanks. =)

When I stop being tolerant, you will be the first to find out...

Actually, you're pretty far down the list... Rian, however... Naw... she's even further down the list. She's too damn cute. There are a few people in this corporation, though.... 'nuff said.
