Hello Burner Family!
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Annetastic and I'm from Kansas. This will be my first burn. I offered to volunteer and was accepted as a Greeter. I learned of Burning Man some time ago but due to a medical diagnosis and a wonderful boyfriend (serious burner a decade ago) I have made it my mission to attend this year.
I am still reading about BM and learning so much. The boyfriend though he bought our tix but is not tech savvy and definitely not in touch with "this new Burning Man technology" so I am learning about the STEP program and the low-income options so I will get a tix for me somehow because I'm that determined to make it! I'm also learning about being a Greeter also! So much stuff!
On top of it all my only daughter is getting married in October! So I need not get sunburnt! However I have insomnia so that won't be a problem! Any words of wisdom or suggestions that are not in the main stream of knowledge would be greatly appreciated!
I am excited to see my fellow BLC citizens in about 100 days!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Yeeha, Welcome. Good luck on your ticket search. Read some of the other threads in the 'greeter Station'. This will give you an idea of how to get tickets. When the 'tickets wanted' thread opens up put on a post telling everyone about yourself. Tell us what you are doing to help with local projects, builds and events. Give an idea of your plans and get to know as many people as you can. That is by far the best way to ticket up. Can't wait to hug you in the dust.
