Hopeful Australian first-timer

Post by thrillho145 » Wed Apr 20, 2016 4:35 pm

Hey guys,

I'm a 27 year old Aussie guy hoping to make it to Burning Man for my first burn. After securing a ticket last year, unfortunately I had to sell it due to unforeseen circumstances. Didn't manage to snag one this year, but am following advice and planning to go anyway. *fingers crossed*

A bit about me: I'm currently based in Sydney, but am leaving my job and moving to Colombia where I'm hoping to teach English for a year. Doing a bit of a trip before hand (Southern Africa, Berlin, NY, Burning Man (if I manage to grab a ticket) and then Bogota).

Hope to see you all on the playa!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hey if you haven't yet join the Aussies on The Playa 2016 FB Group. It's a great resource for preparing from afar. And welcome!

Welcome Thrillho. Your rambling adventure sounds like a dream vacation. Good luck on your ticket search. Gotta get those pictures of the 'Man Burn' nestled in between the Statue of Liberty and Bogota. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks. I'm pretty stoked to have the opportunity to make this trip. Feel very lucky indeed.
