Even though I'm home almost all day every day, my electric bill for the last 2 months has been $45.

No solar or super insulation.

Just being a little conservative.

The service charges, fees, and taxes are MORE than the $20 of juice I actually used!!!

Any savings helps. :D
Over the last several years, residents of northern Nevada have been asked to conserve water because of the drought, which most have done.
The city water company in Carson City, where I live, recently said that they may have to raise rates because they are going to be about 10% shy of their projected income  . I didn't know government agencies were for supposed to be profit except for the USPS which gets it's profits from sales only. We were asked to conserve for obvious reasons and now they want to raise rates because we conserved and it drained their pockets.
Local electric and gas companies are generally private sector as opposed to govt.

Yes! Just look at the one that was posted above! And once you are there on YouTube, there are more. I'm truly impressed. It would have been so "easy" to make crappy ones, just to keep children occupied (since they wouldn't know what they were missing). But it is very well made, in the original spirit.

Morning, Bar! Been busy busy lately, working on stuff in our studio. After 6+ months of talking about it and waiting (im)patiently, we were finally able to upgrade our 3D printer yesterday. Our old one worked, but in the 3 years we've had it the company that makes it (a great local burner-owned startup) has made a lot of enhancements and improvements. The company knows it's cutting edge tech, and they make a point of trying to make things as upgradable as possible because they don't want the people who get in early to be penalized for supporting them. Anyhow... hooray! Our new printer was finally ready yesterday, so I packed up the old one and drove across town to their office to get that taken care of, and then spent much of the afternoon setting everything up on the new machine. I did a few test prints yesterday, everything's looking great so far. Now I'm off to run a few more tests before starting some bigger pieces.

Morning Bar....pardon the early intrusion.

Just an observation and a musing and a statement of the obvious. When I was trying to find tickets in 2014, resales offered simply flew off of the eplaya ticket page before my brain could even register "hey look...tickets!" That seemed to be the case regardless of whether they were presale or main. Doesn't seem to be so this year. Quite a few presales and VPs still up for offer.

:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

We may have hit a tipping point on ticket prices. I think those presales will all be sold eventually. I do hope the loophole allowing people to buy presales and enter the main and DG sales will be closed, I find using presales as insurance repugnant. Repugnant, I say! But alas, it is allowed.

Mornin All!
Aurelia :coffee:

Played hooky today. Nearing 850 hours of sick time and I was coughing Monday night and all day Tuesday. So I figured what the hell.
Had a bowl of grape nuts with strawberries. Damn I felt like Yul Gibbons. And a cupa :coffee:

You need to have added the pine trees, finely chopped, to be on the order of ol'Euell Gibbons. Poor guy. He's dead now. So, the heck with the au natural breakfast. Gimme sausage and biscuits with gravy every time.

Mmmm. Although I love waffles more than biscuits and gravy, and adore French toast with bacon. What I actually have: one slice of whole grain toast with butter or smart balance, and one microwave poached egg, black stevia sweetened coffee. A little later, juice with my pills and vitamins. So far, that has been a successful meal choice in my eating plan.

Wow... thank you so much for the birthday wishes!

Lucky, you made me blush with those kind words... and Ratty, I hope to see you both in June.

Thanks, Sadie... we'll RAWK that corner at 5 and i this year!

And, thanks, Marty, and Aurelia, and Yggy... hoping to see all three of you in June!
(Especially Yggy, since you have the key to the gate!)

Had a wonderful lunch with friend Sharol, who shares this birthday with me, and Digger, whose birthday is tomorrow. Nice Italian food in Camp Verde.

Then, back home, my son Aaronious and burner-mate, Paydirt dropped by with a piece of awesome apple pie and a laptop for me!! I guess one eventually gets used to the mouse pad. My desktop is so noisy. One of the fans sounds like a factory. The laptop is SILENT! .....nice.......

AntiM, I'm glad things are getting better for you. What a hassle you've been through! See you (in tip-top shape) in August!
