First time hopeful

Post by darbishire » Wed May 11, 2016 3:12 am

Hi,

I was not able to get a ticket this year. I really want to experience this. I'm from the UK, able to get a flight over. does anyone have any idea's or information that would help me to a ticket or even a volunteers project that will get me there. Any information would be very much appreciated.

Being a birgin myself let me tell you what I have been told, and done.

Most important:
Get active with your local burner community. Being out of the States this is your best bet even for volunteering for projects too.

Get active on the many BM FB pages/groups, some are good some are not.

I'm guessing you either missed, like me, or did not get tickets at the main sale.
Assuming again you did not register for STEP, (google it)
Whats left is the OMG sale, (google it too).
Read all you can here and other BM related sites before asking questions.
After that its beg like your life depended on it.
2nd time better than the first. And the first was pretty Freakin' Great!
I am Camp2. - A solo camp - Stop by and say Hey!, 8) Gotta beer?

If you are another Solo Burner & very 'Radically Self Reliant' - Maybe we can 'Do What We Do!' :P

Welcome to eplaya. I hope you make it to the 'real' playa. Start by reading all the postings in the 'tickets wanted' section. Then put your best foot forward and post your own thread. Not too short and hopefully not too long. Make someone love you enough to sell you a ticket. Good luck.

Welcome. Greeter's is a great place to let us know how you do you. What makes you happy? Do you make art? What do you love to do?

For a formal ticket request (which you are not really supposed to make here) put a post in Tickets Wanted. You can bump it up once a week.

Here are the guidelines for ticket requests:

Prepare as of you have a ticket, they often shake loose a little later in the summer. Volunteering usually gets you tickets for the next year, not the current one. But hey, a visit to the America West wouldn't be wasted, there is a ton to see and do here. Southern Utah for example, is mind blowing.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
