Hello!
After a good 5 or 6 years of furiously wishing I could make it, I've finally gotten myself a ticket! Of course it would be the year the year that the majority of my burner friends are opting out...
So, the ticket's only really one piece of the puzzle. I have to find a ride from...somewhere, figure out how/where to camp and take care of myself for the week, and then take things from there. Not having a car or license at the moment, however, is making things a bit more difficult to plan.
If you happen to have room for a small female on your trip from either Vancouver, BC or Seattle, that would be amazing. I'd need a ride back as well, or at least back to Reno or somewhere I could fly back from. If you have an awesome camp that could use more socially awkward conversation, I'm your girl!
(No, really.) People tell me I'm funny, I'll probably talk about my cats more than once, and I'm more than willing to help out with travel costs/camp maintenance/etc.
Obviously there's still loads of time to figure everything out, but I feel like the sooner I get the ball rolling and make some tenative plans, the better.

Hi Dianosaurr!
I'm also new this year, excited but apprehensive, and hiring a large car in Vancouver BC. I have a posting on the BM ride share board. If you think it might be useful you could reply to that maybe? Whatever, I hope you have a great time!

Welcome, Dianosaurr! I've been in your shoes. I hope things work out for you and Matthewwt! . . . (If most of us had ever waited for our default world friends to get off their asses and Burn, we'd never have gone. So go!)
Other options:
* Looking at Burner Express and consider camping with them
* Looking at Green Tortoise Adventure Travel and consider camping with them
* Join regional email lists and FB groups for both cities, and post
* Post on the rideshare board & here (well done)
Being willing to split the cost of gas (as you mentioned) is wise. Or message a few people who've posted here in this forum, like Matthewwt, and see if you can meet or Skype first . . .
Bump your thread every now and again, if plans don't start firming up.
Good luck to you!
