Hey there everybody .... Alan from Ireland here and managed to get a ticket this year although none of my friends can make it and was looking for advice on travelling solo ... I can bring everything I need ..just need a willing group to help out a guy who has travelled 7,000 miles to get there ... any advice welcome ...

Hola and hello...

Are you taking the burner bus or renting a vehicle? There's lots of threads with advice here, people who are better than me at posting threads will most likely come by here before long.

Read the first timers/survival guide on burningman.org lots of good info there

I'm moving this to the building camps & villages thread, since that's a better fit for threads seeking general plamning advice.

I"d recommend you start by reading theough the Survival Guide as well as the first-timer's guide for a start, then browse through the boards a bit. Almost every question is covered, and you may find additional helpful info you hadn't even thought about considering. Good luck!
