That's good! They're considering you, otherwise you would have just gotten a "no" letter. Pictures are best but a good drawing is almost as good.

Your drawing needs to show exactly what you're bringing, how you are making it, what its made of, etc. It has to give a clear indication of what you're bringing or there's no way people at DMV can tell whether to invite or not.
MV guys: don't do a half-ass application. Don't send a second-grader sketch that shows what you imagine your thing looking like. Demonstrate exactly what you're up to.
That application determines whether you're invited or not.

Haha! Captain just perfectly described my drawing! I was kind of coasting on the idea that they'd seen the thing before, but I was removing the parts that caused high wind related damage and near catastrophe.

That's another Rule Number One.
Never skimp on your application because you think they know you.
There are new people each year who probably haven't ever seen your MV.
Each application gets looked at with fresh eyes each year.

I can't imagine that creating a MV is anything less than a part-time job in terms of work, and with a hell of a lot more personal investment than, say, being a babysitter or pizza delivery gal.

Got mine on Thursday...after some revisions. MV Hotties are not screwing around this year!

They certainly aren't. We're dropping up to $11,000 into The Cloud Car and as of now it's only being pre-approved for night time only. Now certainly that's better than nothing at all, but wow, we were surprised.

a few days ago, i sent them an email asking for an update. they told us we were approved! Apparently they had some systematic email issues... where emails were not sent. if anything, follow up.

Can't say I blame them. Crappy application, much reduced vehicle design, generally did everything that I could to NOT get approved. Even then, I think Juke and team tried to approve my application, but they just couldn't get past its low quality. Honestly, I'm relieved. Even a small MV is a total hassle.

the wandering ii will be making its debut appearance this year! It only took two years, a last second failed trailer last year, ripping out 30 and replacing 30 year old wiring, and some straight stubborn determination to make it happen!
