You're at Burning Man.

I have a picture of me standing outside a friend's house in Orange County, California. I had just gotten back from Burning Man and stopped to say hello. I knew the truck was a mess, but I thought I was pretty clean. I look at the photo and I've got a heavy dusting of playa all over me. Head to toe. In my hair and everywhere. I never looked in a mirror. I think that makes me a Burner.

Your front room looks like this in mid June.

I bought a $2 tent with no poles. After a bit of sewing I got the poles to fit into nylon sleeves. Of course then I had to dremel some poles to make it 'just right'.

Sleeping like a queen at the Hof.
