7:30 Neighborhood Camps

Alright, what camps (registered or otherwise) are planning on camping in the 7ish to 8ish range on the dial? Yes, we realize that placement is not announced until early July, and not all camps have filled out a placement questionnaire. Tell us about where you've requested, or where you're aiming to camp in the neighborhood if you're not a placed theme camp. This thread is for camps to announce their locations and intentions (not for recruiting, posting lineups and schedules, or other stuff you can tell us in your own camp thread)… tell us who you are, meet your neighbors!

Thanks! Eridu Society is done with the ziggurat installation, but will be back with Eridu's Brainy Bar in 2016. However, I think this year we're aiming for placement in the 4:30 'hood.

Nectar Village (SteamBath Project, SnowKoanSolar, Bumblepuss, Pongo Lounge) has requested our usual spot on 8/E.

Are any of you folks doing a shared refrigeration truck? We have been part of a co op truck for several years, but he organizers have moved on to other projects.

Got an information request regarding our interest in 7:30 area, basically asking if we were a gay camp. I guess the Gayborhood request got taken seriously. Nice to see placement listen to that concern, although I'll be sad if we are to be booted from that zone. I do agree that it's kind of cool to have certain areas of the city with more distinct personality, so I won't bitch unless I end up in Dust-palooza on the 4:30 side. Ick. Can we have a Gayborhood adjacent zone for hipsters and yuppies who like to culture mooch?

Camp Fuego with its flaming horse and karaoke lounge is hoping like crazy to croon, drink and dance again in the 7:30 sector where we've been for the last 4 years, the last two as part of the 7 Sirens Cove. Even willing to take on the Esplanade to be in the hood--yikes!

Having just heard from HepKitten, Bravo, and Hot Water, it would appear that everyone's favorite camp and village, Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro/Barbie Death Village will once again be in the 7:30 neighborhood. Last year we were ensconced at 6:45 and E. Look for us to be somewhere around there again this year. See you all at the Meet & Greet!

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. They contacted me with regards to last year's MOOP map and our early arrival pass request. I would not expect to have a firm announcement for another three or four weeks. But since they were (or so it was stated in the email I received) the placers for the 7:30 neighborhood, I made that leap of faith.

Uh-oh, we haven't heard anything. Do they send out a condolences email if you don't get placed? We've been 7:30-ers since 2009, and placed every year we requested it. Since we've never not gotten placed, I don't know if they let you down easy, or you just never hear anything. Oh dear god, do we have to wait in line after Gate opens with the RVs of European EDM Tourists?!?!

Allow me to answer my questions. Yes, they are still sending out emails, so don't panic if you haven't heard yet. We are placed at B and 7:45, calling ourselves It's All Fun and Gaymes, featuring oversized lawn games, a tower, a bar, a dance floor.

To answer my other question: yes, they send out denial emails - our neighbors from last year got one this morning. Sad face.

And finally, we will be set up, drinking champagne in the shade by the time the RVs of Brigittes and Estebans, Giselas and Pierres start rolling through Gate on Sunday. Woohoo!

Camp Settle This Like Men, in Cahoots with Camp Make Good Choices, is at D &, 7:30. Come and get your beatings! Workouts every morning starting at 9 a.m., Jiu Jitsu Classes and Open Mat at 11;00. Afternoons will be more shenanigans with Rocktails, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Full Contact Facepunching(kicking), Morrissey Sadness Hour, and Muay Thai in the afternoons.
